The Fed Ex man just came to the door - rang the intercom and left a package. Huge box filled with articles pertaining to angels and our Lord. A beautiful crocheted love-ghan and prayer cards and little items you couldn't begin to imagine. I don't know who it came from just the company that it was sent from. I am in tears, for someone went way out of their way to send me a package. Hi Mary, Thank you so very much for the loveghan box you sent over here to Patty Robinson. I wasn't there when she received it and haven't seen her since, buy have heard back that she was very moved and so very thankful to receive it. I've been told that she got a little teary, and was just blown away that people on the other side of the world would care about her and her daughter and the loss of their home and beloved dogs. Once again, thank you so very much. Your generosity and kindness have restored many people's faith in human kindness here. We get so tired of hearing in the news about the bad things that happen...robbery, violent crimes...but rarely hear of people giving from their hearts. I have completed crochetting a number of granny squares for your group and am in the process of trying to learn how to join them to make an afghan. If I'm not successful in learning this by the time your project comes up in May, I will send just the squares along with some quilts I have already made for Online Angels. Zack says thank you to everyone! He is feeling like he is loved despite what some kids are saying to him. He has had several crying times because of other kids teasing him about his "twitching". Kids can be so cruel and this was certainly something that said to Zack someone (other than "just" Mom and Dad) loves you. He says he can hardly wait to cuddle up with his new "blanket". I finally talked to Linda Wilcox. She was the one who's daughter died from overdose.. She let me know that the boys are still cuddling with the love ghan when they start thinking of thier mom. She said to thank everyone very much for bringing the boys such comfort. Also..My mother talked to June Zeller. My mother forgot all about the box being sent..She finally remembered and June said she wondered who had done such a wonderful thing. She was amazed at how bueatiful the loveghan was and all the work that had gone into sending her a box. She asked my mom to please say many thanks for her.. June is not doing very well. Mary, Sorry for not sending a Thank you from the boys sooner. They so appreciate the Easter Box (which they are not allowed to touch until Sunday). Things are very tight here right now and no end in sight at this time. I have been busy with dealing with landlord and well people( we need a new well), so my actual time on-line (actually in front of the computer) has been very limited. I am going to try to get some squares or hats made soon as my Mom has some yarn for me to use for that purpose. She saves all the yarn that is left from her baby afghans and sweaters that she knits. She said she didn't know what she was going to do with it, and I offered to take it off her hands. I would go nuts if I didn't have my knitting or crocheting to do (I do a lot of waiting in doctors offices), I have not heard from any of the families that I added to the list, except the Kane family. The asked me to send a Huge Thank you on their behalf. The Mom was so grateful and so surprised that someone would do this for her kids. Again, Thank you to all who made things a bit brighter for the boys this Easter! Mary M

We sent a family a box for Easter, it came when the mom was at work and the girls were home. any way so the mom let them open it when she got home. the girl called me on the phone and I all most cried. they said mom said you are one of the angels. thank you for the box for Easter. we love you and thank the other angels. they were so happy. their dad is not seeing them let he was when he left. and he was not with them for Easter. they say the little one cries all the time for him. but that made them happy thank you Emma

Dear Angels I can't thank you enough for the wonderful box that arrived today here in NICU at St. Joseph's Hospital in London. Ontario. We were overwhelmed with your generosity and thoughtfullness. You are all angels. The blankets were so colourful and will brighten up a little cot and I know will be loved by the siblings of our babies. My favorite was the wee white angel nest . It was just so perfect for our micro-prems that become angels. I know presenting them to their parents in that will be just perfect. Those are the days that are hardest for us as nurses, but your thoughtfullness will make it easier not only for the families but for our nursing staff as well. Thanks again for thinking of us. Mary, we are just home from the hospital where our Jessie Kim had the surgery to put the pins in her jaw to create a lower jaw. these will remain in for minimum of four months and must be turned twice daily to make the ribgraft come out and form a lower jaw for her. when we got home a beautiful box was here. we just opened it and gave our children the gifts enclosed with all your love. to quote my 9 yr old i will "OH MOM THESE PEOPLE ARE SO NICE. WHAT CAN WE DO FOR THEM? THIS IS BEAUTIFUL. HOW DO WE THANK THEM AND THEY ARE EVEN PRAYING FOR US" (spoken by MaKenzie Tolin. I just wanted to let you know how much a loveghan means to the recipient. I asked if you could send one to my mom on the fiftieth anniversary of her marriage to my dad. (He entered the hospital last year on their forty-ninth anniversary and died six weeks later.) When it arrived, she was surprised and a little taken aback, that people who didn't know us would send her something so neat out of the kindness of their hearts. At the time, she looked at it, then folded it up. Now, as the first anniversary of Dad's death approaches, I notice that she has it on the back of the chair where she usually sits to watch TV. When she lies down for a nap, that is what she grabs to throw over herself. I explained what it represented and I think she "gets it" now and appreciates it even more than when it showed up back in March. Hi Mary and bless you! I got a call from Sue Bumgardner today. She was in tears and said that she knew I was responsible for this. By the way,it arrived a day early. She said everything is beautiful and in bright colors which she loves.There was a red angel ( her favorite color )and it has a place of honor in her bedroom. just wanted to thank you angels out there for all you do in helping make this such a wonderful caring group....A few months ago I asked for a box for my daughters father in law....he was diagnosed with terminal cancer...well when he got the box he was so overwhelmed with the love and caring...and he just wept...He was so grateful for the box and proudly displayed all his goodies. Well, last night Jeff went home to be with the Lord...tho we all are truly saddened by the loss of this wonderful man, we know that he is no longer suffering and in a much better place. Hello Mary, i thought i would let you know what a couple of our parents said, Matty's mum was thrilled with the quilt and said it was really beautiful, and Simon's dad (both simon and his dad have been in hospital with pneumonia) said "received a lovely patchwork quilt and a few toys in a parcel from the US last week for Simon, really cheered him up.
