Mary, my ddil received her package and afghan last Thurs. sorry that I am so slow to let you know. She was just delighted as I had not told her you were sending it, so a nice surprise!!! She said it was red white and blue and she is thrilled. Also she thanks you for the extra goodies enclosed. How sweet you are and what a wonderful lifting of the spirits when you do this. I received a lovely fleece blanket from you, which really helps to keep my legs warm. I have adhesive Arachnoiditis in my spine, to name one thing. The cold in the East really makes the pain worse, so your gift was much appreciated. More than that, is knowing that wonderful people like you are out there!!! I spoke with Jennifer this afternoon & Sidney has a staph infection as well as a bowel & bladder infection. He had to have a blood transfusion last evening. It sure sounds serious for this little guy! I received a box of wonderful clothing items and a beautiful blanket from the "Angels On Line" today. What a wonderful group! It sounds like it will be at least two or more weeks before Sidney comes home, so I'll just hold on to these beautiful things for now and Hope! Thank you, Susan Lawrence Parent Outreach

Just wanted to share this event with you. Most of the evening of the eighteenth through the morning of the nineteenth I had a great deal of trouble sleeping. Well last night I laid down of the couch to watch wife swap with Teresa, covered my self with the quilt at 10:00 pm, the next thing I knew it was 12:00 o'clock. Got up took a drink of water, laid back down ready to watch the food channel, still in my quilt woke up 3 hours later. Got up once more to drink more water laid back down and slept for another hour. Each sleep was immidate and deep. Woke up feeling great, haven't had that kind of satisfying rest since this whole cancer deal started. So my dear niece, do you think the same way I'm thinking IT IS A MAGIC BLANKET??? All the prayers and loved wrapped inside it is the answer. Before I shut my eyes the last thing I remembered doing was thanking GOD for allowing me to be surrounded by so much love and encouragement. All of this has humbled me. I just wanted to share this with you because if anyone would understand it would be you. With Love and Gratitude Aunt Bernice
Hi Mary and Angels, I've just got off the phone from Mum. She's asked me to say a very big THANK YOU to all of you for the beautiful Loveghan box she just received. She said the rug in it is just beautiful and loved everything. She's going to visit Dad on Thursday and said she'll take it all down to show him. She also says thank you for all the prayers going out for Dad and herself. In her words, "Dad needs all the prayers he can get right now" and she's just amazed that so many people around the world are praying for him. A big thank you from me too. Dearest Online Angels, Yesterday my Aunt Bernice in NY opened a box from the Online Angels and I cannot tell you how happy your beautiful LoveGhan made her. She called me in Arizona last night to say "thank you" to all the Online Angels and to say that she will be in touch when she feels stronger. She sent an email to me this morning, telling me that she has not been able to sleep very well since she began her battle with cancer, but last night she wrapped up in her beautiful afghan, thought about all the love and prayers that were wrapped up in it, and she was able to sleep. She told me it was an immediate and deep sleep and that she has not been able to get that kind of satisfying rest since her cancer ordeal began. She called it her "Magic Blanket" and said that all the love and prayers wrapped inside the making of this Loveghan is the answer. She said before she shut her eyes the last thing she remembered doing was thanking GOD for allowing her to be surrounded by so much love and encouragement. All of this has humbled her and she wanted me to let you all know the peace and happiness you have brought to her with your wonderful gift. Thank you so very much for being so kind to my wonderful Aunt, I know this gift is going to make a difference, I just know she is going to be able to fight this disease now, knowing how many people are supporting her with their love and prayers. Mary, I wanted to let you and all of the angles know that Shirley has received her box. She wants to thank all of you for thinking of her. It couldn't have come at a better time. She was so excited to receive the ghan and other wonderful gifts. She keeps the ghan on her all the time. She is recovering from the brain surgery and is doing as well as expected. She has developed a blood clot from the surgery. She is asking if all of us would continue to keep her in our prayers. It seems that our loveghan boxes work small miracles. Either that or the angels are smiling down on the recipiant. My aunt rec'd a box on Wednesday. We put the lapghan across the foot of her hospital bed, put 1 angel on each side of her pillow, and pinned the angel pin onto her pillow along w/a rosary. Today they took her off the respirator, and she's slowly improving. Each day since she got the box, she seems to get a little better!!! Maybe we do work small miracles!!!! Dear Angels, When i got home from radation the other day and also found out that i had to have a feeding tube put it i was very down and discouraged. then my daughter-in-law came in with a box for me and it was from ALL OF YOU !!! I just sat and cried . i want to thank you all so very much and mary your a sweetheart.the lapgan is beautiful as were the crosses and angels. When i joined this group i never ever thought i would end up this way. I joined to help others and now look!! God directed me to this group and i will be forever grateful............... She was shocked today when she received her package and her love-ghan is so beautiful. She cannot believe that there are people out in cyberspace that care so much. Mom will be 93 on the 4th of Feb. and when she saw me doing things for the group, and I had her cutting out stamps she could not comprehend what this wonderful group entailed.
