Thank You Page 26

Dear Mary & Angels. On behalf of the Cheyenne River Youth Project I would like to thank you for the school supplies. We had our school supply distribution for the kids on Aug. 20th. It was a great turn out, over 400 kids received the supplies they needed. We still have a few kids each day that come in and need stuff so your donation went to a family a few hours after receiving it. Thank you for your support, we love your program. All the best Sherrie Anderson

Dear Mary & Angels, Just a quick note to say thank you for the school supplies, and we really appreciate all you do for us. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and consideration. All the best Sherrie Anderson

Thank you for your donations! Love, Family Housing Program Staff

Rec'd my package today. Thanks ever so much for thinking of me. I am speechless. You all are a wonderful group of ladies. Lucy

my mom got her loveghan today and as soon as I pulled it from the box and told who it was from and everyone that helped make it she started to cry she has it on her chair with her crosses beside her along with the letter she said to say thank you to everyone thank you for making my mom feel loved Shannon

I just wanted to express my thanks to everyone that made and sent the loveghans to my friends Richard and Muriel. They were really surprised and grateful. Muriel just entered a nursing home and says she has been sleeping under it every night. Thank You from the bottom of my heart for all you do. Giving God All The Glory, Adrienne

Just wanted to luk Stephanie got her box..She called me she was so excited..said she loves it...And to tell you thank you so much ....also update on her is that the big cyst ruptured..but she still has they said 6 or more small ones on each ovary..They said since the big one ruptured..that they are waiting on her inc to take affect before they do surgery..what does that tell you..the old mighty $ comes first..had the big one not ruptured she would of had to had emergency surgery...she is by no means out of the woods yet...Thank you so much for making her soooooo happy....

I received the package from online angels and the love-ghan is beautiful. Thank you so much it means a lot to me that you are here for me. I feel the love. Again thank you Love, April

Oh, Mary...I can't begin to tell you and all the Angels what an impact the wonderful loveghan and crosses and angels made on my dear husband! He was absolutely overwhelmed to the point of tears that you all thought so much of him. I'm so sorry I'm just thanking you all now, but we're still waiting to hear back from his latest CT scan results (that keeps us on the "edge" every time until we hear the news). The loveghan means even more to him because it is primarily red, white and blue and since he is a Vietnam-era veteran - those colors are even more important to him. The crosses are absolutely beautiful and the angels have reminded him of all the Angels watching over him. Bless you all for your wonderful, loving kindness. Bob, Roberta and Girls - Too Blessed to be Stressed :)

She passed them out to her sisters and one for her teacher, me, her Godmother, and a friend at school. What fun for her...and us! What a precious thing to do.... We go to Riley on Thursday, and surgery is Friday, Sept. 30. Bless you! Judy

Dear Mary, I just wanted to drop you a note of thanks for the beautiful afghan, crosses and words of encouragement that you and Online Angels sent to my sister, Terrie Billy, this week. A fellow soldier supporter friend of mine requested this for Terrie and not only was your gift uplifting to her, but to me as well! It actually helped me to better understand how my soldiers feel when a complete stranger sends them a care package and words of encouragement. It's a true labor of love that you and Online Angels perform, Mary, and I hope God continues to bless you in your efforts! God bless Linda Fleming

Dear On Line Angels We would like to send our most sincere thanks to you for the beautiful gift that was sent to Anna-Mae. It reduced us to tears, when the enormity of the beauty was realised. She made me promise never to wash it in the washing machine, and has made definate plans for the blankets future should anything ever happen to her. Its so sweet. I would also like to offer my mother in laws help in making squares of knitting. She is very disabled herself, and spends most of her time knitting. It has come point though that our house can only hold so many jumpers and cardigans. So i mentioned your project to her, and she has pestered me ever since for the details and addresses for sending them on to you. Kindest regards, and heart felt thanks. the Cole family

Dear Online Angels, I wanted to say thank you for the box with the lapghan, crosses and angels. It was such a surprise and joy, really made my day. I have always been on the end of sending not receiving, I know the wonderful feeling of sending someone special a box of love, but the joy of receiving one was just so overwhelming it brought tears to my eyes. I will always cherish it and remember the special folks that sent love my way, at a time it was most needed. Thank you so much, Helen Taylor

The afghan arrived today. Red/white/Blue with yellow trim. Along with a few magnets and 2 red/white/blue awareness ribbons. It is perfect. We are very much an American family. My nephew returned from Baghdad in March and is waiting orders to go to the Katrina area with the National Guard. So the colors are perfect. Thank you so very much. Mom is pleased! We are both avid crocheters. Thank you again, Cathy

THANKS FOR ALL THAT YOU DO! My mother-in-law got her box yesterday and loved it. Thanks again, Tracy

Mary; I just wanted to let you know that Kelly called me yesterday and said that she got the loveghan box. She said everything in it is very nice and the afghan was soo bright and cheery! And she says thank you!! Lisa in Wisconsin

Mary -- i heard from my friend that her mom got the box from you. She was absolutely stunned by everything that you included. Rae told me that it made her mom so happy, and improved her outlook so much! Thank you again for everything you do. Susan F.

Hi Mary -- My friend Suzanne Detillion received the box from OA the day she got home from the hospital, and was moved to tears -- she just loved it, and it really cheered her up. She'd gotten food poisoning and was severely dehydrated due to the effects of it, her kidneys had started shutting down, and her heart started having trouble -- they did a heart catheterization. But she was released 6 days later on the 13th, and is, believe it or not, already back to work at Wal-Mart. She still has the diarrhea, (can't believe they've made her go back to work) but looks very good in spite of all that. I thought I was being sneaky, but she figured out right away that it was me who had asked it to be sent (I'm always talking about OA!!). Suzanne is going to bring the box of goodies over to show me, and I'm taking a picture of it all to post at Online Angels if you don't mind. Thank you so very much for sending the box, and lifting her spirits. Love and hugs, Rebecca

Thank you Mary for the nice invitation and also for the wonderful loveghan box to my friend, Phyllis Hudnall. It was a wonderful surprise for her and very much appreciated. Marilyn

I got an e-mail from Carmoleta Campbell. You sent a box out to her husband James. I wanted to pass on from her to you that he passed away on October 13th. They had the funeral Sunday. She wanted me to let you know that the box you sent to James in Spetember meant so very much to him. It brighten his day. Please keep her in your prayers. They had no children so the days ahead are going to be very hard for her. Thank you Mry so much for the work you do for others on making there days a little bit brighter. I'm glad to be a part of it. Angel hugs, Sandy

Marg thank you so much. When we got back from treatment today the box was at our door. DH was very pleased...took the blanket out and put it over himself in his chair as he was totally wiped out and had a little rest Thanks Take care Marge(ON)

At Childrens Hospital Los Angeles Child Care Center we have a program for children and babies who have been removed from their homes by Childrens Services. We were surprised and delighted to receive hand made hats and blankets from Angels on Line! I had never heard of this wonderful project, and we do not know who sent our name to you. These babies often come to us in the middle of the night, with dirty clothes and no blankets. What a joy to be able to send them on their way with a blanket and little hat!Thank you so much. Anita Britt, Ph.D. Executice Director, Child Development center Childrens Hospital Los Angeles

Thought I would share this with the group. I did not get her email, but I did get this one. Thanks for sending her the loveghan. Barb, Did you get my THANK YOU email??? The love-ghan is absolutely beautiful....I cried... Betty

I got a beautiful afghan and other small angel items from Online Angels, right after I got home from the Hospital. The note said my name had been submitted by someone, but they didn't give a name. It is beautiful, and, I must admit, I cried when we took it out of the box. I sure wish I could thank everyone involved. But, at the very least, I thank you. Love and hugs, Barbara

Ladies, the box has arrived and, oh my goodness! Everything is just so lovely, thoughtful, warm and so much appreciated! I am counting 10 pr of gloves, 8 scarves and 18 hats for our children here. These will definitely warm their spirits, too! My Mom (she's in San Francisco) and I knit/crochet hats year-round for the local Christmas Basket program for low income families here. The Basket is actually brown paper sacks containing food for a holiday meal. I am so grateful for the help in being able to share warm clothing with the families who will be standing in line at the fairgrounds for the Baskets this year. The people start lining up way before dawn and it gets cold! I think last year it snowed a little on the distribution day. Many of these families are 'working poor' and the list also includes military families... not much industry here, so work is mostly seasonal, if you can get it. The "lucky ones" get work at Wal Mart, low wages, but there are benefits included. The military is a big employer here, but Oregon's National Guard pays so little... Oregon is a very poor state overall (2nd most poor in the nation, right after Mississippi, I think) and just can't afford to pay their Guard families as much as they should. Heart-breaking. Mom and I (as well as one of my sisters and a few of our friends) were aiming to 'warm' about 300-350 children this year, knowing that there could be more...... With the goodies from Online Angels, we're getting pretty close to the 300 number. And, there is still time for us to make more before the mid-December distribution. Of course, we can always find 'homes' for any amount of warm clothing here, so even if we go over the goal, I'm not worried! :-) LOL Thanks again, from the bottom of my heart, for supporting these wonderful children! And, for helping children everywhere. Blessings to you both for all you do!! Love, Nancy

today we had an online angels package delivered by fed ex - I'm going to pick cody up from football now. I can't wait to open the package. Thank you so much!!! Hello, I've attached a picture of Cody and his lap blanket from the Online Angels! He loved it!! He also got a kick out of the playdough they put in the box!!! He's actually played with it!!! Gotta run, Love ya Cin

Hi Mary, One of the first things that Betty saw when she came out of anesthesia was the lovely lap robe you sent to her. Your kindness made her cry. Thank you for sending such a special 'Hug' her way. Hugs, ~Chris

Bill, the husband, says thank you for doing such a nice thing for Judy Spence. She was having a real bad day when your gift arrived and it really cheered her up. Paula J in SE Utah

Your kindness is a blessing, and so are you. Thanks so much. Thank you for the beautiful package that the angels sent me. I was having an awful week. When I saw the beautiful afghan, cap, and other beautiful hand made items, it really cheered me up. Your prayers and thoughts are very special to me. Judy Spence

WOW! I'm truely amazed. I want to send out special thanks for the box that went out to my mom today. Her cataract surgery was scheduled for Nov. 9 on her one good eye, but she told me it has been postponed. She's still undergoing more medical tests for other ongoing medical issues. I can't wait to here what's in the box because I know you've all had a hand in it :-) !!!!! I'm certain she will thank you, but I wanted to let you know how much it means to me because I can't be there with her since she's in Wisconsin and I'm in Ireland. There seem to be a lot of Cheddarheads in this group! Who area all the WI's here? Lots of Love and Thanks, Ginnie

It truly makes me feel good when I can see the list of all the places that are receiving the boxes. Thank you. Sherry

Hi Mary, my parents got the package and my mom was crying. She said she knew immediately who sent it. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Right now I "HAVE" to finish sewing the couch cushions but after that I am all yours. Please send me an easy pattern that you would like me to do. Thank you so much again. Cass Lockhart

Dear Mary, I wanted to let you know that i talked to my daughter Christie last night and she had gotten the loveghan. She is so thrilled and touched by everything. She absolutely loves everything. Christie had her girls for the weekend and they were so excited too. Her eye and knee are still not doing very well, so she's having to take it one day at a time. The pkg really helped her spirits. Again, thank you. Love, Kathie

Dear Angels~ I hope that I am emailing to the correct email addy. My husband received a beautiful, wonderful and BLESSED package of a Luvghan, cap, hand crocheted crosses, cards and letters of inspiration from Online Angels. THANK YOU SO MUCH! The afghan is simply beautiful and full of hundreds of loving stitches, that comfort and bring warmth to my Sweetie. He loves it and keeps it close to his favorite reclining chair as he snoozes and cuddles inside the cozy blanket. The colors are just perfect for autumn..the golds, and oranges and browns, tans and yellows. Warm colors and it just feels like love and warm hugs when you cuddle in it. Even I may snuggle in it from time to time. LOL The cap will come in handy with the cold months ahead as he is going through chemo treatments now. Thank you so much! Larry and I appreciate this gift of love and caring from Angels we wish that we could know, but somehow, we do. One of your Angels is a special friend of mine. I know that she helped to make this possible. We wish God's blessings on each of you and all good things. Thank you so very, very much. Larry and Sharon Brown

I just got a phone call from my mom and she received her package today! She was so taken aback. Couldn't imagine how many thoughtful people there are in this world. She said to tell you all thank you so much, she will be using that loveghan tonight! I so appreciate the ministry of this group. Thanks also from a grateful daughter! Lora

Hello Mary First, I would like to Thank You for the consideration, of becoming a member, of one of the Truly Wonderful Groups of the Internet , "Online Angels " ! My name is Linda Swain. I live with my husband of 17 yrs and my Beautiful Cat that we call "Bubba" in a small town outside of Lexington NC. I think we are called the BBQ Capital of the South , but I am sure there are other cities across America, that would be up to challenge of being called The BBQ Capital. :-) If my name should seem familiar, someone that " Loves Me" submitted my name to your wonderful group, to be considered to receive one of your Lovely "Love Boxes". I have NEVER BEEN SO OVER WHELMED . when a man from FedEx came knocking at my door, with this box for Linda Swain. I was overcome, by seeing a Box being brought up to my door. I don't usually get anything delivered to me... It took me a few minutes to get to my door, because I am confined to a wheelchair, oh yes I guess I need to tell you, I have Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis...( I might have MS, but MS Does NOT HAVE ME, YET!) Anyway, I opened the box, and I began to tremble. Tears began to flow when I held the most beautiful lap quilt I have ever seen..and all the precious little trinkets and booklets... Then I read your letter, on how I was chosen to receive the Love Box... I had to cry some more ! My hubby rushed to my side, after he heard me weeping so loudly. Oh, I might add, that my dear husband is also totally disabled from a trucking accident, that left him disabled also...But we try real hard to take care of each other...Times are very very hard living on such a small income, but we do the best we can and be as frugal as we can ! But I would like to Thank whom ever submitted me to your gracious group...and also Thank You for all the Love that was put into MY BOX... It made a very Sick, Depressed and Lonely Woman (ME) Very Happy and Very Loved ! I would love to give back some of that love to someone else if given a chance to become a member of Online Angels ! May God Continue to Bless You and this Precious Group ! Many Hugs to you All ! Linda Swain

My mom got her box yesterday (Diana Young) and she just loved the loveghan. Wanted me to tell you all thank you so much. My dad even said it was nice and now won't have to worry when mom is cold her wanting the themostat turned up LOL ;) my mom said the whole package was very nice and she is enjoying it. I really thought she could use this since she has been having problems with her shoulder (dr wants her to have surgery..torn rotor cuff but workmen's comp won't pay for it so fighting that) and also been having problems with her knee and not to mention that my brother and his wife are living there (whole other story) and they both are NOT working so she is under a bit of stress so this package was a real uplifting for her. So from my mom and I thank you all so much. (she said she will help me fill a box..told me that before when I talked about Online angels but now really wants to help..) Blessings Dawn

Hi! I wanted to tell you "Thank you so much!" for the denim "quilt-like" lapghan you sent to my husband as a pick-me-up for all he's been going through. He received the box on Wednesday, Oct. 19th, and he loved it! All the little trinkets (crosses, encouragement magnets, pins, and beaded angel) were such a special touch. He was truly uplifted receiving such a gift. He has been using the lapghan almost every night. I think the idea of denim strips is such a neat idea! Thank you so much! I look forward to helping out with donations to Online Angels, too! Hugs, Karla

Thanks for getting JoAnne's box out so quickly Mary. We received an email from her today saying she had a box delivered. From what she said the services were lovely, and were packed with friends, family and local people. They are having such a hard time with thoughts of having to go through a murder trial. They are so blessed with so many people there to support them. And friends to help, for some reason they are without water right now... Robbie, in Longview, WA

Today I had the opportunity to spend a minute visiting with the lady who is the director of The Shepherd's Inn. She commented about the boxes and all the good things that are sent for the babies and their moms. For those who don't know, The Shepherd's Inn is a small, non-profit residence for unwed mothers so they can use household items as well as baby items and I like to send a little something once in a while for the moms (most of them are pretty depressed). Anyway, Julie expressed her gratitude and I would like you all to know that I truly appreciate everything that is sent for them. Sherry
