Thank You Page 27

Dear Mary, I received your lovely package today. I want to thank you and your Online Angels from the bottom of my heart. The package couldn't have come at a better time. I just lost my Godmother/Aunt. She was a wonderful woman and I loved her very much. She did a lot of charity work and helped a great deal of people. I am so touched by your package of love that is seems as though my Aunt is still doing her good deeds from above. Please accept the enclosed check as a token of my appreciation. Please use it to purchase materials to continue doing your good work. Sincerely, Donna Petraroi

Online Angels, Thank you so much for all the beautiful knitted hats and booties. The blankets will be put to good use by our nurses. Thank you also for the two packets of clothes, hats and booties. You kindness is greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Lorraine Easton RNCT Assistant Nursing Care Manager Children's Hospital Of Illinois

It's hard to find words that would even begin to thank you enough for how thoughtful you've been! There are not enough words to tell all of you what is in my heart. When I opened the loveghan/laprobe I cried and still do! It has brought not only warmth to my body, but also to my heart. We are slowly returning to normal, but still have a long way to go! The damage to our city from hurricane Rita was bad, but could have been so much worse. We have been so blessed and I feel even more blessed thanks to all of you. Hugs, Linda Sexton

Your generous donation has brought a smile to a child's face. On behalf of the children at Janet Weis Children's Hospital, thank you! MaryAnne Wesner Coordinator, Special Events/Donations

Dear Mary & Angels, Thanks for the stuffed toys, the kids love them! Sherrie Anderson

Appreciated all your best wished and prayers. On Sept. 1, 2005 Tina had kidney and pancreas transplant. She is doing great almost like she was before she got sick. She is still going to the doctors and hospital alot. She needs all of you pray that she will be well. Love and keep up the great work, Beverly Medlin Tina King

The Online Angels Group, Thank you so much for the blankets. The knitted hats are vital for our babies thermal regulation. Thank you again for thinking of our babies in the NICU. Sincerely, Lorraine Easton RNCT Assistant Nursing Care Manager Children's Hospital Of Illinois

Just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know that Nay got the package from the other group Friday or Saturday. It is a beautiful afghan! She was so surprised because I kept it a total secret. I didn't even tell her hubby to look for something from Fedex. When she saw the delivery truck guy coming up the stairs she was really wondering why he was there heheheheh... I haven't gotten to see it yet since I am not able to climb her stairs yet. I'll ask her if she can bring it over so I can see it. I believe she said that it is red white and blue. :) It is so cool because last year when Danny had his brain hemorrhage and was still in the hospital someone on one of Nay's groups sent Danny and me our own afghans and they are so beautiful and such a comfort. So now our family has been so blessed by the angel ladies and the afghan ladies. Everytime I look at our afghans or our little angels I get so blessed! What a sweet and wonderful thing for all those ladies and you to do! Thank you for your kindness and for you loving heart. Hugs.. Barb G

My mom called today to aske me to tell you all thanks so much for the wonderful loveghan box. Her computer is giving her trouble so she will post a thank you herself once she gets back on line. Her computer helper from church is in hospital right now so I don't know when that will be. She loves all the crosses and angels and poems included too. She told me she knew she was being prayed for because 2 days before the operation her surgeon told her she wouldn't need the cateract surgery on her one eye (she only has one) for another 12-18 mos. because the pre-op exam showed the cateracts had improved -- that's supposed to be impossible! Thanks! Ginnie

Every Child, Inc. received a wonderful donation of assorted items from Online Angels yesterday. We have no idea who the "someone who loves Every Child's children" is who submitted our Agency but we are very grateful. Every Child's direct service workers are always happy to recieve donations that they can give directly to the children & families they serve. Every Child, Inc. is a non-profit, social service agency in Western PA that provides an array of supports and services for birth, foster and adopted children with special needs and their families. The agency is founded on the belief that all children – regardless of age, race, disability, or serious healthcare condition – deserve to grow up in safe, loving and lasting families. We are proud of the fact that since we began in 1998, we have helped ensure that more than 3,000 children with special needs have the families they deserve. All Every Child, Inc. services to children and families are free of charge to the families. On behalf of our Board of Directors, our staff, and the families and children we serve, thank you, and all the donors who made these gifts possible, for recognizing the importance of bringing children and families together through the work of Every Child, Inc. Please forward this email to whoever brought Every Child, Inc. to your attention. Sincerely, Ann Posch Community Donations Coordinator

I want to thank you, on behalf of my family, for the wonderful lap quilt sent to my mom! My mom has been fighting breast cancer for 14 years now and has finally gone home to be with God! Her quilt arrived about 15 hours after she passed away and although, my mom was not able to see it or enjoy it, it immediately warmed my siblings and my souls and gave us that extra comfort. I have a few friends that quilt. I am going to insist they teach me how to make a lap quilt so that I can be a part of this great idea! I just wanted you to know how much her family appreciated the quilt. Thank you so much! Lisa Simmerman

Hello Angels, gosh I can't even talk right now! and you all know I always have something to say :) I received my box today...Wow, kinda takes your breath away. Mary your note just kinda took me off guard, it is so sweet. I think there is something magical in these boxes. I tell you I have really been in a funk first about my uncle, then the news I received from my dr. that I have to have another spinal block 12-2-05 because the pain is so bad now I can't walk or sit more than 30 minutes. I just havent said anything about it because I hate talking about it. But my loveghan box kind put me back in the right place today. I have a lot of family/Angel friends that do care and when I am down I should say something so you all can pray for me, I am only human and I need to accept that everyday is not going to be pain free! My favorite bible verse: Galatians 6:2 Bear ye one anothers burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. That's what online angels is all about :) You prove it with every BOX OF LOVE you send out! You Angels made my day, thank you from the top and bottom of my heart! It is cold here and I am having a full fledged fibromyalgia blow up right now...my lapghan will be a shawl for my arms:) Mahahalo, mahalo, mahalo (hawaiian for thank you) Ang (\O/)

Ladies, I just wanted to share and again say thanks.... Fed-up arrived today about 5:30 p.m. with two boxes from OA for the hurricane victims. That was fast! I was not expecting them until probably Friday! I added 16 crocheted hats that my mom and I made and 15 sets of 2 children's gloves (total of 30) and 2 pair of woman's gloves. The boxes were sooo full I could not add them to the boxes so I put them in a bag with the boxes. I took them with me tonight for prayer meeting and the Brotherhood Director promised me that they would be delivered to the people that needed them. Several times during prayer meeting he refered to the "tent cities" on the Coast. Thanks again, because of you and your love, many more people will be able to stay warmer. Sew Blessed, Judy in MS

Hello, I want to thank you so very very much for the beautiful blanket and Christmas ornaments you sent me. I don't know who gave you my address, but I'm thankful to them also. What a happy occasion this was to get this wonderful gift! I simply can't thank you enough. What you do for others is simply a gift from God loving people. I hope you know what a difference in my life this gift has made for me. I truly "feel" like I've been given the gift of love and I could feel the love that came from it. God bless and once again, thank you so very much. Sincerely with hugs and much love, Pam Waugh

Mary (and all my lovely fellow angels) Mom received her box today-she cried (she didn't think I saw her, LOL). The lapghan is just beautiful, she loves the rosary, the cross in my pocket, and the butterfly fridgie. You picked the perfect colors for the lapghan-she loves anything red or pink!! With heating costs soaring, we try to keep the heat down, and the lapghan will keep her warm (although it's getting harder to keep her in one place for long, LOL), and she can feel the love that's in it. Thanks again so much-from BOTH of us!! Hugs & blessings, Maria

The Sexton family wants to thank you guys for the box we recieved it this afternoon thankfully my neighbor was home to sign for it because I was out running errands my son's gonna have a hay day this christmas from loving and supportive people like you guys. Thanks for doing this for other people to send love and help to families when we need it. Shannon Sexton

Angels, Boxes Received: Today I received 3 boxes of stuffed Christmas Stockings from OA for the Hurricane Victims on the MS Coast. Again, I can only say thanks and I know there will be some happy children!!! (A side note: As if you don't already know.........The stockings are stuffed full and tight, just like Mary's boxes. You angels are the best and have the biggest hearts of anyone I've seen.) Love you all, Sew Blessed, Judy in MS

Just wanted to say from the bottom of my heart Thank you for the wonderful box of stockings and gifts for my children. It came earlier today when I was at work hubby said it was there when he and the kids came home from church. He said he wanted to open it when the kids went to bed but he waited until I got home. My husband also wants me to pass along his thanks and to let you all know that he will make sure I do button cards and get a box filled soon (like I need him to make sure I do those cards LOL..he didn't see my envelope of buttons lol) Again thank you so much. Words can't even finish what I'm trying to say to you all. Oh for someone who asked about packing peanuts...um dont' think a peanut would have a fighting chance if the box I received is like what others get LOL Have a wonderful day ladies Warm Hugs & Blessings Dawn

Good Morning Angels. I called my niece this morning as it was her son's birthday. Anyway, I asked her if she received a box. She said she did & thanks. I told her I didn't do it, but then she said that she asked Granny & Granny didn't do it so she knew I did. She said it was packed full of legos, crayons & coloring books and all kinds of stuff. I also asked if she gave it to them yet & she said no. We will have to see if she really holds out until Christmas. Thanks Mary (and everyone else) for helping me to help DH's niece's kids to have a better Christmas. LOL -- Tracy in AZ

She said that my sister back east (south of Chicago) just had called her just shocked and surpirsed, She said when Jo came home last night from picking up the kids from the Ex's she had a Box on the door step addressed to her. After she put the kids to bed, she opened it and to her suprise what was in it, She said she will be able not feel so guilty for the Chrildren's Christmas and to send Thank you to everyone and a thank you from Her (The grandma). Robin

The family of Jeremiah Dee Birkenfeld would like to express their sincere thanks for the words of kindness, the lap ghan, cute angel, etc. that we received after the loss of our much beloved son. (John 8:12) Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." Jeremiah was a bright light in our lives. He is now with the light of the world – Jesus The heinous end to his short life is a shock to us all. Our comfort is in knowing that because he believed in Jesus he is in heaven now with his family who has gone before him. Although we don’t understand, we know that God is in control and that He has the master plan. The Lord gives and takes away - our hearts will choose to say - blessed be the name of the Lord. Thank you all for your prayers and support - they mean so much to our family. All who knew him and loved him will treasure the precious memories that we each have. He will always be remembered by his big smile and his sense of humor. Love in Jesus, JoAnne Birkenfeld

She was telling me what all was in it and how she couldn't believe how the kids were going to be so thrilled to open them Christmas morning. They send thank you's from the bottom of their hearts. Penny B.

I rec'd a package for my grandsons. The others who wrote in are right nothing else could fit in the box. I don't know how I will ever be able to thank everyone for the help. Thank you all so much. The boys will be so happy when they get up Christmas morn. Lorna

Mary and everyone, I just got 2 wonderful calls thanking OA for the wonderful boxes sent to Ireland. My friend Tara who lost her baby is having another bad spot after her first day back to church, she sent word through a mutual friend that she was really touched by receiving the box and all the prayers that went into it. Also, little James who had heart surgery is doing very well and got to come home yesterday. His box was delivered just after he arrived home. His mom called me to say it really cheered him up. She said he must be felling better, he's started fighting with his brother again. He used to be too sick. She's thrilled!!! Thanks again for letting me a part of this fabulous group and all it's blessings to others. Blessings and thanks to all of you, Ginnie

I received three more boxes today from you wonderful angels. We took them to the church and they will be taken to the Ms Coast. The members of the church are just amazed and thankful for the love that has been shared. During our prayer time, we were discussing the needs and the church is asking the members to bring toys for the children. It made me feel so good to be able to tell them that we needed help unloading the car and that three of the boxes to be unloaded were full of stockings with suffings!!! Angels, ya'll are the GREATEST!!!! Love you all, Sew Blessed, Judy in MS

I also want to thank all of you for all you do for OA! There are so many kids who wouldn't have near as nice Christmas without all of you. My 3 girls being a small few of them. I received the box today and I know the girls are going to be so happy with all of it. I also want to thank one very special angel who is going out of her way to make sure my girls have a nice Christmas. Thank you!!! Love and Hugs to all!!! Heidi

Thank you Mary! Just wanted you to know that my sister's box arrived and it was a big surprise. With 11 kids in the house, this is really going to help out with the two older girls. She and Mike send their heartfelt thanks to everyone for thinking of them. Rhonda R.

Bless All involved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mildred Cash received and greatly appreciates her afghan.....Of course she's heart broken over her son and she said the afghan helps... Have a Happy Heart this season! Patti Nolan in KY

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I just received the packages today for the patients here at the Arkansas State Hospital. You can not imagine what it will mean to these men, women and children who will be in the hospital this Christmas to receive a present so clearly made with love. I will spread the online angels message and my sincere gratitude goes out to everyone who helped. I can't thank you enough!!!! Lisa Southerland

I wanted to drop in for a few minutes to let Mary Reinhart know that the boys received their box of goodies and as you probably remember Ben was the one who emailed for me and did other things for my group when I was so ill. He had not received anything from anyone and he was so excited and touched that someone thought so much of him. I have been tearing up trying to write this. he may be 16 but his eyes are sure glowing. He wrapped up in the afghan and was so touched as he knows what labor our group goes through to make them and feels so blessed. He can't wait till tomorrow to share with his brother. He has felt sort of out of the family as his brother has gone back home and his mom didn't come to get him. He is sort of the red headed stepchild in the family unit now as Justin is their natural child. Ben and Justin have the same mom. Ben always gets things for his brother first and stands back and this has made his world a whole lot brighter. I can't tell you what it means to me that you sent this to the boys. Got to go wipe my eyes. much love, cj

Ladies, again all I can say is thanks. We received the boxes today for the Coast. I brought them to the church tonight and they will be delivered to the coast Saturday. I wish there was some way for everyone to witness the BIG heart this group has. Ya'll are the greatest. Thanks again, Sew Blessed, Judy in MS

Forgot to tell you-Joan Dygas received her box this week-it really lifted her spirits. She has begun chemo, and it's taking it's toll on her-the box was a welcome distraction, and she really loved everything inside it!!! THANKS!!! Hugs, Maria

Dear Online-angels I would like to thank you all for send ing the package to my parents during this time of illness. I haven't been able to contribute much yet due to my parents conditions but hope that changes soon. Again this was a wonderful gift to my parents. Thanks Forever Friends Robin Q

Ladies, Just a note to say thank you again for all you gave to the MS coast victims of Katrina. The stockings and other boxes were delivered yesterday. A group from VA came in a gave a "Block Party" and they cooked hamburgers, etc. and gave out our stockings and some other gifts to the kids that were there. They continue to thank us for the hats, scarves, etc. that helps keep them warm. Mary, you asked me to let you know about further needs. Most of their needs are not things that we collect, but they do still need and are excited for the hats, gloves, socks. (Anything to help keep them warm!) Again, thank you for all you are all doing and have done!!!! Without seeing it, it's hard to realize what some of these folks are going through. Sew Blessed, Judy in MS

I just received a wonderful box with angels ,rosary, crosses.and a lapghan--I could feel the love, today is the wake and tomorrow funeral please keep me in your prayers Maggie

I'm glad I don't have to say this aloud, because the huge lump in my throat would prevent it. I heard a knock at the door a few minutes ago, and when I opened it no one was there, so I looked down to see if a package had been delivered. This time of year, you never know if someone in the family has ordered something for a gift. Or if DS had gotten something else to fix up the used car he recently bought. It was a FedEx box, for ME!, with "From Online Angels, w/Love&Prayers" printed on it. I just got a loveghan box. Whoever submitted my name, thank you so very much. The loveghan is absolutely GORGEOUS!! Everyone who made the squares, and the person who put it together, did so with very obvious care and love. It's wrapped around me right now, and I'll take it to bed with me tonight instead of the one I've been using. I feel the love, and feel all your arms around me!! The crosses are beautiful, and one will go with me everywhere in my purse. So will the Bag of Gold. Thank you all for lifting my spirits, and putting a huge smile on my face! Hugs and love from the bottom of my heart, Rebecca (wipes tears)

My Mother went to see my Auntie and she received her Loveghan box. She can't talk but the nurses spread her loveghan on her bed, she pointed at it and started to cry. She was able to whisper tell the Online Angels thank you for me. My Mom said the tears were not tears of sadness but tears of joy that her niece (me) is a part of a wonderful organization, and we take the time to think about people that are in the situation she is in. A bit of news, she was able to swallow water yesterday, so the doctor is hopeful that eventually the feeding tube can be removed. He said he has never had this happen to any of his patients so he has the faith that she will regain her ability to walk and eat. She was normal when she went in for surgery...just suffering from chronic back pain. Really sad. Anyway, keep her in your prayers. Angelic blessings, Ang (\O/)

Dear Mary and all online angels, I have a special angel in my life. She is my daughter Carrie. I have struggled for the last six weeks or so with some illness problems that made me angry, sad, depressed and scared all at the same time. It was to the point were I didn't pick up a crochet hook or knitting needles for over two weeks. My special angel was so concerned that she called on her online angel friends who sent me a special box with a wonderful lapghan and beautifully done crosses. Thank you for sending this wonderful sign that physically I would improve and my life would be brighter. It was a warm hug at a time when I most needed it. Thank you for being such wonderful angels. Dianne PS. Am knitting and crocheting again to fill up those boxes so life is good!

I was so surprised last night. I had a box from the group!!! I couldn't believe it when I opened it either!!!! THANK YOU all so very very much for the lovely afghan. I so love it and it's keeping me warm and I know how much love went into it. That was so very very sweet of all of you to think of me I am just...well happy. I am cuddled with it as I write this and kept me comfy while I was knitting last night!! Thanks again guys that was so very special!! Jenn

Hi Mary, I received the box for the Scott Family and took it to her today. She was SO thrilled! It really made her day and she really appreciated it. She had a bit of good news today also.........she had been digging around in the ashes to see if she could find anything left and she did! she had an old cedar chest that had been by her clothes closet and when the fire came, the clothes fell over on it and somehow protected it! The cedar chest is burnt and ruined but the contents are ok and guess what? They are pictures, and etc. records of her family......baby shoes, etc. She is so thankful! Thanks, Mary, for all that you do! Hugs, Darlene A

Dear Mary and all the Online Angels, Thank-you so much for the cards and well wishes, crosses, and the beautiful love-ghan! I am overwhelmed by the generosity and love especially during the difficult time of my mother-in-law's illness and death. Your reaching out to a stranger will be rewarded by the Lord. God bless each and every one of you. Sincerely, Loretta Schneider

Dear Mary and On Line Angels, Your wonderful package arrived just now. What a blessing this was. I haven't been able to stop crying. This even brought tears to my husband's eyes. He was very touched. He is also Catholic and he is now holding the rosary beads and on the verge of tears. I have also put the afghan over his lap and legs to help keep him warm. He is cold most of the time. I love the angel figurine. I have it in my special china closet with all of the loved items that have been passed down to me by family and friends. The crosses and the crocheted angel are also in there right where they are easily seen. He needs frequent help dressing and emptying his urinary bag. He made the comment the other day that at least he got to see his children on Thanksgiving. His brother tells me he can see him going downhill almost every day. Your prayers are treasures to us. Please accept my heartfelt thanks for your love, your generosity and your caring. My husband's heart has been warmed by this gift. He said he didn't realize there were really people out there who care and pray for someone they don't even know. I cannot find the words to thank you for this blessing of love. Anne

just wanted to wish all you Angels a very merry Christmas. My family had fallen on hard times last year and you Angels stepped up and made sure that my daughter had gifts to open on Christmas day. I will never forget you selflessness and there will always be a special place in my heart and on my prayer list for all you Angels. Thank you again and may you have a wonderful Christmas this year. Dana

Thank you for the box I received today for the MS Coast hurricane victims. The group is scheduled to go next weekend and the goods will be delivered then. I know that they will certainly appreciate everything. Ya'll please keep them in your prayers. Most of the news seems to have focused on New Orleans, but believe me, parts of the MS coast are MUCH worse than NO. I would also like to say that I have received numerous cards and am thankful for every one of them. I talk with my husband on my lunch hour every day and almost everyday he would say that I received more cards from my computer friends. He was amazed at the number of cards. I explained to him that these were only a small portion of the "angels" that donate time and items, etc. Thank you for everything you all do, I know that you will surely be blessed. Love to you all, Sew Blessed, Judy in MS

Ms. Mary I received Kathy's package yesterday, December 23, 2005. Thank you! Merry Christmas and thank you for all you do to brighten someone's life. Debbie

Dear Mary, Thank you very much for the blamket, ornaments and coloring pencils for Andrew. He just loves blankets! We are very fortunate to have nice people such as yourself thinking of us during trying times. Andrew's road has been tough but it is nice to know that there are friends who care. Thank you again, Lynn Cannon (Andrew's Mommy)
