want to thank whoever it was who requested a loveghan for me..When it came today and I saw what it was I just cried with knowing that OA really loves me and cares about me.. I will hold this loveghan close to me always remembering the love I got from my little Ginger..and know that she is waiting for me someday..to continue the love and kisses she always gave me..I love all the little items from the crosses to the angels in my box..I will always be with OA knowing it gives so much love to someone who needs it.. I received the box of school supplies today, as did my neighbor. Thanks so much--I see you sent for Taylor, too. Anything we do not use will be given out to kids in need in our neighborhood or sent back to you to use for others. My neighbor also is very grateful. The 4 younger ones are busy sorting through the items and picking out who gets which. The neighbors got some "boy" stuff so are trading with Duane for the unisex items. Boxes came at just the right time, too. We had just had the lights go off due to a power outage so it kept the kids busy for a couple of hours till they came back on. Sue T in FL

yesterday while I was with the kids at the doc I got to talk to a lady who's daughter had recieved a loveghan...we had it sent about 3 weeks ago when her daughter became very ill from what was a viral infection...long story short it was way more then that..but anyway... as we talked i asked her about it and everything in it..she broke down and cried she said what an uplifting gesture and hope that it gave her...she talked about all of the littles goodies inside and the beautiful ghan that is was. so ladies as I look around and see mine staring back at me I am thankful for thier health and for all of you.. we do do a wonderful job and please know that..please know that our hard work is so helpful to so many others. Hi Paula...I got my boxes today...and please fwd this message. THANK YOU SO MUCH ANGELS! My son is now excitd about school. It starts monday, and he happily looked through his box of goodies and is anxious to head back. His teacher (Only 40, married with 2 kids 2 and 4) was going to be teaching the whole class 5th grade this year (He wanted to take his students with him from 4th to 5th) and tyler was soooo excited. Well, he passed away on August 1st and tyler is really sad about that. It is so heartbreaking. This made his day a little brighter and he is a little more excited about heading back to school now. To give you an idea of our census, we have an average of about 30-35 deliveries monthly. Each mom and babe gets a “going home bundle”. In this bundle are some of the basic need items – diapers, lotion, shampoo, onsies, an outfit, socks, blanket, hat, etc. When we get donations such as yours we try to give them out right away. My Mom just called me saying she received the love box. She was so thrilled. Said she had no idea there were so many different things that were in the box. Back in February, I won a flowerghan thru the OA raffle, and gave it to mom as a birthday gift. She was using it today as a lapghan, and had it with her when I took her to the dining room for dinner. She got so many compliments on the ghan-everyone asked where she got it (residents and their family members alike). I was soooo proud to brag about my "angels" and how all the squares were made by different people. They were so impressed with the concept of the "loveghan" and complimented the beautiful craftsmanship of each square. I was just bursting with pride. It is such a beautiful "work of art", and mom is so proud to be the owner of an "original OA flowerghan". Ladies, you can be proud of your work. I'm always crochetting when I'm there, and the staff is always asking me about the group, and what I'm making. I am proud to be a member of this group!!! Hugs, Maria

My Mom asked me to thank everyone for the beautiful gifts that were made for her, She has a floor reading lamp and she has 1 angel hanging on the turn off knob. She has another one pinned to her curatin and a cross and heart pinned to her curtain. She is in a wheel chair and didn't have a lapghan , but now thanks to the Anges on here she does. Dear Online Angels, I want to say I'm so sorry its taken so long to write and thank you for all the lovely things you sent. I also want to thank the person who admitted my name, it meant alot to me. I've been through so much seems like the last two years. I had to have surgery on my left shoulder and I was away from home for over 3 months. My Dad was diagnosed with lung cancer in June 8 2005 and he passed away August 27th of 2005. My husband's mother passed away this past May and worst of all for me I lost my Mom August 23rd of this year. She wasn't only my Mom she was my best friend. I miss her so much. I still have my good days and bad days. It really meant alot when I received your package. The afghan is just beautiful and I keep in the living room in case I get cold I have something I can keep me warm. Your ministry is a tremendous help to others because I know it helped me. Mary, A great big "Thank You" goes out to you and your group. I was diagnosed with cancer in 2001 and again in 2006. This time it's been really hard to handle all the treatments and surgery. It made my day when I received the gifts from your organization. The loveghan is beautiful, how did you know what color to send, it matches my reading room prefect. The bookmarkers, crotched angels and everything else in the box was wonderful. My husband and I shed tears of joy over what other people do to help with hardships of illnesses.
