Thank You Page 5

Dear Online Angels, My friend Bev said my letter to you went out on the net & that you are praying for Mom's healing. Thank you all so much. Mom is feeling good. We had a nice Thanksgiving in spite of our menus. (I have multiple food sensitivities & she was just put on no salt!) meals are a challenge in our house. Mom & I have a whole bunch of healing scriptures we read & claim together several times a day. Mom is believing for her liver & heart to be healed & I'm claiming a healing for my heart as well. (most of my heart muscle was destroyed by the flu in 73.) I wish you all a very blessed Christmas & great New Year. Love & prayers, Cheryl Chellis PS. My mom, Margaret Chellis, says Hi & thanks for everything.

Dear Mary, I'm writing on behalf if my mother who just got one of your Online Angels boxes yesterday. A dear friend I used to work with send her name in & told me about it & to be watching for a package for her. Let me tell you a bit about my mother & myself. She's 85. I'm almost 59. I took early retirement almost two years ago in part due to some health problems with my heart. We live together & are the best of friends. We are the last of our family. Dad died of colon cancer 12 years ago & Mom's younger siser died in 2000 with heart & kidney failure. I'm a divorced only child with no children or other relatives. On Nov 3rd Mom had to go into the hospital with what we thought was the flu. Doctors discovered she was bleeding internally & required 4 units of blood & one of plasma. What we thought was flu turned out to be cirrohosis of the liver & early congestive heart failure caused from a heart drug she took 9 years that causes liver damage. She now has to quit her blood thinner which puts her at severe risk of strokes & heart attacks. The doctors say she's between a rock & a hard place! There is no real medical cure & they said all sorts of scary complications could happen whenever. She is home now & everything appears to be going well. She looks & feels great. We belong to a great charismatic church that believes in healing & are standing in faith for her miracles. Her great desire is to go up together with me when Jesus returns instead of passing away before He comes. I believe the time is close & that her wish will be granted. When we opened the box it was just perfect. Orange is about our favorite color. Our living room rug is orange. The beautiful afghan was orange, yellow, & brown & looked personally desinged just for us. We loved everything you sent. It was so nice to include the little New Testament. Mom also loved the Harlequin book. She reads those constantly. But when we read your precious letter we both broke down & wept. It was exactly what we needed. You & all your Online Angels are doing a terrific ministry. We could feel the love you sent. I'm not crafty but I think several of my girlfriends may hook up as volunteers. One makes candles & squares to heat in the microwave for heating pads. Please remember Margaret, my momo, in your prayers. We will be praying for you & this sweet ministry. God bless you, love & prayers, Cheryl Chellis

Dear Mary, Thanks to you & all of the Angels for that beautiful box of wonderful items. My I'd not ever be ablt to make as I am only into embroidery. Not sure I really needed to be remembered with such teasures as I seem to be slowly getting better but wonderful thanks to all. I'm not on pills for diabetes. I am only on hormone pill, Zoloft for they give out to anyone having a bad time at hospital, etc. No more blood pressure pills or water pills as water pills caused my hospital stay & then seizures caused the waves to go out. I no longer go to the dr. who cause it as they should know about giving blood tests to make sure the electrolites stay up. What realation are you to Georgine? I always enjoy hearing from her. It is nice to have someone living with you as I couldn't see well for a long time so wouldn't be able to see what pills I needed as was on 6 when I came home from hospital. Got new glasses & seeing a lot better then any drs thought I'd do alot better in hospital. Alot of people are in worse shape compared to me now my husband said I'd not even talk but 1 or 2 words now I never shut up! I tell anyone I can about what happened as that dr. can't be only one who knows not a thing on this problem. My grand daughter really liked all the little angels in the box. I said they were sure nice ones. I'm down to 152 & a half pounds as of yesterday. I was 168 pounds last summer & wondered why my energy was so bad & couldn't keep up with the 2 grand children. I look for doing things next summer. Take care thanks to all, Love, Donna McCormick

Dear Online Angels & Founder Mary Reinhart, How are you all? I'm fine. Thanks alot for the wonderful stuff ya'll made for me they're beautiful!! Purple is my favorite color in the crosses & in everything, but cars. I've worn the pin a couple times already. I love angel & butterfly stuff mainly. We've seen many, many butterflies since my dear Mom passed away into glory!! And 2 people out of my immediate family have had a butterfly land on them, we say it's a sign of God & our dear loved one. Isn't that amazing? Cause we weren't seeing many butterflies before She(mom, etc.) passed away.So we thinnk that's really neat, don't you? Well thanks again for this wonderful stuff & for taking the time to make it all. It's gotta take alot of work, time & patience to make this stuff. I'll talk to ya'll later, maybe even see ya'll sometime. Cause I have family in PA, their aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. on my Dad's side. They are in Grey Mills, Spartansburg, etc. I think that's all I'm not sure? Well I better close & get my work done before my sis from Mt. Eaton, OH. comes. I'm going home with her & her family for awhile. I can't wait I got friends down there, at their church mainly. Love ya'll. Jamie Schrock

Dear Mary, I wish to thank you & the wonderful friends, the Online Angels with out wings group for the box you mailed me. Marky Gaus, my friend & close neighbor was keeping an eye out for the delivery truck. She told me she knew what was in the box, but I showed her anyhow. I have had the shingles for over a year & my nerves are not the best just yet. It affects my writing. Thanks again, all of you fine friends are in my prayers. I will be 91 on Aug. 28th & never thought I would out live my son who was was killed by a careless driver on March 12th. He would have been 63rd on April 23rd. He was going to retire soon. Now God has other plans for him. I feel he is watching over me & is now with his father. Thanks for listening to my tale of woe. Dorothy Wathen

Mary Reinhart, staff, & volunteers, A very belated thank you note for thoughtfulness, kindness & support. Its certainly nice knowing there are people like you out there, & when one less expects anything. It was a surprise & such a wonderful one. I'm going through with chemo for the time being. Last week was my last treatment. Will go for cat scan on the 10th. So, here's hoping. God bless you all & again thank you. Sincerely, Margie

To all you wonderful caring people who helped put joy & hope into those less fortunate, I don't know where to begin perhaps first with an apology for not acknowledging your wonder care package. I was still hospitalized when I received it, & what a pleasant surprise it was. I wept with emotion. There were so many things which I shared with my fellow patients. From my 6 weeks in hospital I went to a cancer center for another 6 weeks for radiation. I had not quite a year break & was rediagnosed with Matesties so now I have been in chemo treatment since May of 2002. It's been really rough, but I do have good family support & lots of friends. I spend so much time into hospitals, labs, treatment centers & the dr. visits are so long. It usually means an overnight stay. I don't have much time for pleasure, but go when ever I feel up to it. I don't even know how you people became aware of me. But I do appreciate it & will cherish everything that was in that package. If there is anything I can do to help your cause, please do not hesitate to let me know. Once again, thank you so very much for your thoughtfulness & kindess. God bless you all. Sincerely, Margaret B. Meagher

Dear Mary & Online Angels, I received a package that you & the others sent to my niece Dixie to bring to me. A great big thank you & the rest of the Online Angels for the package. I will be putting the laprobe on my bed this winter. This way I know that somebody else cares & loves me, same as my family. The little angels that was in the box I have them sitting on my small desk so I can see them when I get up in the morning & before I go to bed at night. Would happened to see my ex sister in law & her daughter Amy I said thank you also. I guess it took something like this to happen to me to let some of my family know that I cared & all I have done for them. Some of my family was concerned about me that they went out of their way to come to see me or call when I was in the hospital. My family is still concerned & worried about me. But I am doing ok. Now I'm able to be up & about. I just can't go back to my job that I was doing. I'm back to work at the same place. I am working out in the front serving water, coffee, or tea. Busing off tables, setting them back up, & keeping the silverware wrapped. When I got to the hospital they asked how I got there & I told them I drove myself. They told me I made it up there just in time. That's when I found out what all was wrong with me. Like I told them that I had the good Lord & my guardian angels watching over me. I seen that I got up there ok. All of you folks keep up the good work you are doing may God bless all of you. So, one more time a great big thank you for thinking of me. My prayers are with all of you & the other Online Angels. Write when you can with love, Sue Staley

To All the Online Angels, Sometime back, I do hope many remember, I asked Mary to please send a loveghan box to my sister. Joanne had been fighting Cancer for sometime now and is coming back with a clean bill of health now. But, she has now lost her sight. Mary sent her a beautiful box and Joanne cried so hard with happiness. She thinks we have the best bunch of ladies (angels) and she sure does believe in angels. She asked me please to write and thank you all for sending it to her. She cannot see to write herself. Again, please accept this as her way of saying thank you to all the angels that helped make this a little bit of sunshine in her dark world. Your sister angel, Nancy L.

Dear Online Angels Group- Thank you so very much for the box of beautiful quilts I recieved today! We will be traveling to China soon to adopt our second daughter and I will be delivering the quilts to her orphanage to give warmth to the babies left behind. I know that the orphanage workers apprecaite these gifts very much. Thank you again for your wonderful gift that will warm the babies with love. Lee Tanzillo

Good Morning Online Angels, My name is Sandra Werner. You sent a package to my daughter and we received it today. Our landlady brought the package to us today. We had already gone to the hospital when it came. Thank you so much for thinking and caring and praying about my daughter Angela. We were at the hospital for eleven very long days. We came home yesterday. Angela is my youngest and she has cerebral palsy and this surgery was worse than any she has had to endure so far. All the way thru it though she has kept her beautiful smile. Her brother when she was small would hold her all the time and call her his baby angel. Her name is Angela Dawn and she was born very early on friday the 13th in October. I named her to reflect what she is; to me she is a morning angel who always has a smile and a hug for everyone. She is 32 years old now but is child like in many ways. You will never know how very much your kindness has meant to us. It is just the two of us and we haven't much family and we don't know many people. Most of our friends are online friends and some of them have been our friends for nine years now. When we were in the hospital we were both suddenly awakened in the middle of the night and we both saw Jesus in the room with us. It was really a wonderful feeling. We were neither one looking the same direction but saw the same thing. We both said Oh My! Did you see that? I said yes and I asked her what she saw and she saw the same thing I did. It was in two totally different places but it was exactly the same. It was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! There was a beautiful cross there and Jesus face was glowing just beneath it. It lit the whole room. We were both sleeping soundly and woke up at the same time. It was a couple of days after her surgery. She said Mom do you think this means I am going to die and he came to tell me? I told her no it means he is watching over you and you are going to be going home soon and you will be fine. Jesus is just watching over you. Again I want to thank you for my daughter and for myself for your kindness, thoughtfulness, caring and prayers for her. It means so much! She cannot sit up by herself yet and it causes her so much pain that even with both of us struggling to get her sitting up she cannot stay that way. She still cannot feed herself and she cannot roll onto her side but I am hopeful that things will improve. You have brightened our day!!!!!!!! Thank you and God Bless All Of You! You are surely angels My daughter will write to you too some day. I know she will be better very soon. She is getting very discouraged but I know she will be better soon because of all the caring people who are praying for her and for people like you and all the other angels who have brought happiness to her and you don't even know her. God Bless You All. Love, Sandra Werner for Angela Jacobs

I cannot begin to express the joy and appreciation I felt when I saw the box from online angels. Everything they sent was absolutely gorgeous. They sent a beautiful quilt, a crocheted angel bookmark, and also some crosses in plastic canvas. Everything was incredibly gorgeous. Rhonda thank you, thank you, thank you. Yesterday was a particularly bad day for me, as I'm very depressed about how my mother is doing, she's very confused, won't talk and won't eat either. However, I'm sure that the gifts from online angels will make her day. God Bless, Nury Uribe

Also, wanted to share that my friend, Lucy, received her box last week and I saw her at church today. She was wracking her brain trying to figure out where it came from. I had my squares there and she was admiring them. She is from Kenya so sometimes the language is a barrier but I think she received one of Karen's quilts? She said hers was made from material, just perfect to go along with her living room. Said she couldn't have chosen better and has spent much time curled up in it. She recently finished her chemo but is going for another surgery on Tuesday and another round of chemo. She looks wonderful, has great faith and the only bonus is a weight loss of 20 pounds. I just wanted to share with you how much the box meant to her. Joan

You all made some people very happy today! I owe it all to you guys because if it wasn't for you wonderful people, I could have made this possible. I delivered cards for SOARS today along with 6 boxes for the Warm Clothing drive when I went to my farmers market this morning. Boy were they all excited about getting both. I still have 3 boxes here with coats in that I will take to the drycleaners next Wed. I told them I would be bringing more of both and they said keep them coming. They were so nice because they don't have the donation box for the Warming Clothing Drive out yet and the one that runs it told me to leave them in the boxes and go ahead and bring them up to him and that I can bring them anytime I feel the need to. Dona

Hi Mary, I received the following update on Marge from her husband. As you can see, she is really struggling and your group made her cry "happy tears" with the afghan you sent her. Thank you SO very much to you and all of the online angels!!!! God Bless, Dawn ********************** The rest of us are doing fine, but like Marge we have our moments. The best part of the day continues to be at the dinner table or dinner at Marge's side upstairs in the bedroom. And the meals have all been exceptional and greatly appreciated (especially the chocolate deserts!) Not having to plan meals and prepare them has been a real time saver for us and made the evenings hours together so much more special. She shares her cards, letters and emails with us, and in fact was disappointed there were none delivered today because of the federal holiday. Also, a beautiful handmade afghan from "Online Angels" arrived last week ... we aren't sure who sent it, but she was so happy she cried happy tears. Someone else sent over a landscaping business and they mulched all our mulch beds in the front yard, trimmed the bushes, cleaned up the front yard and left a note that they would be back soon to plant flowers. Again we feel so blessed to have such friends and family, and everyone else in the various churches and prayer chains praying for her recovery. Thank You from the bottom of our Brownie filled hearts! Greg JMJ

Dear Mary, Your Online Angels are truly Angels. We can't thank you enough for all the efforts made by your donors to our program! Thank you for your donation to the "Wee Care" program at Saint Vincent Hospital. Helen Seman Co-Chairman

Online Angels, Thank you so much for the knitted blankets. They are beautiful. The bunnies are really cute along with the finger puppets. There is a baby whose family has trouble visiting so I will give some to him. Thank you for thinking og the babies in the NICU. Sincerely, Lorraine Easton RNCT Assistant Nursery Care Manager

Dear mary, Thank you very much for your donation & knit items! We have many children in need at Boston Medical Center. We appreciate your generosity. Sincerely, Dottie Keosaian

Online Angels, Thank you for your thoughtful gift. The afghan is really unique with all it's patterns and colors. The crosses and angels will be put to good use. I had never heard of your group and wish you continued success in your endeavors. It truly is a blessing. Sincerely, Dorothy Sullivan

Dear Online Angels, A huge thank you from Sam M, in London, England, for his loveghan, cuddly lion, and beautiful crosses. Sam is on the Postpals website. The blanket is on the sofa whenever Sam takes a nap, and all the children love using it. Thankyou for your kind generousity. Kind Regards, Emma Marston

Hi Mary, I ve just received the first box from FedEx, and I 've wrote you in order to know that everything was fine. The next box I should receive it on May 22. You asked me if you could send us some Bibles in English or New Testamesnts or children's Christian books in English.Yes, you can do that, but not many Bibles since not many children know English, for beginning just some children's Christian books in English would be fine. Thank you very, very much for what you do for Romanian children and for your love. God bless you. Lidia

I received a thank you note from Jacqueline Schmidt. She is the young lady who works for my son at the Old Navy in Milwaukee Wisconsin. She said, “MY BLANKET IS AWESOME!” That, of course is the afghan sent to her from Online Angels. She thinks that they got all of the cancer cells – I don’t know much more about her as I live in Oregon, and don’t know her personally. She also said, “I love the pins also.” I don’t know what pins she is referring too, but I think they might have been in the box with the afghan. Anyway, one more person blessed because of a group of us (speaking for myself here—old grey haired ladies, lol) working behind the scenes, to brighten someone else’s corner of the world. Later on, Karen in Salem Oregon

Dear Online Angels, Thank you very much for my quilt of love and teddy. It was a great surprise to recieve them, and they are lovely. My dogs love to snuggle up with me in the quilt. It's great to know someone has thought of me to ask you to send them to me. I'm not sure if the person gave you my website but it's, www.c-h-o-c.org.uk You can read all about me there. Thank you again, and keep on doing what you're doing. Love Nicole xxx

Thank you so very much for the box of love. Our patients will benefit from the blankets and gloves. We here at Davita are grateful for people like you who are so generous, loving and caring. May God bless you for your work you do. Thank you again from the patients as well. Carolyn Wilson, AA Waynesville Davita Dialysis Center #2000 11 Park Terrace Drive Waynesville, NC 28786

Dear Online Angels, I want to thankyou very much for the wonderful gifts that i recieved. May God richly bless and keep you all. Rev .Timothy Blake

My brother called last night and said he had received a box from online angels...and he sounded the best I have heard him..He said the lapghan was beautiful and he could wrap up in it...he was surprised at how big it was...and the angels and the crosses he said he put in their bedroom and he plans to take them to the hospital when they are able to do the surgery. He goes back June 5th to see if his heart muscle is strong enough. He wanted me to thank all of you for thinking of him and praying for him. We are all holding our breath till they can do the surgery...he is just not a man you can keep still. I can never thank myi dear angel sisters for making my brother smile and be happy...he has been so depressed. Please keep praying...we still have a long way to go. Thanks again, Your angel sister, Mary Kingry

My mom got her box and wanted to say a BIG thank you ! She loved the colors...said it matched the colors in her room at the nursing home. Connie

Hi Mary, Thank I have received the large box of mix items and many stuff toys. I will be setting them out this week. Thank you again. Florence running Wolf, CCS Director

Hi Mary, Royce, and Jessica! THANK YOU so much for the computer! We came home yesterday from a "mini vacation" and since I had no computer access where we were, we had no idea that Jared had won! Hubby had come home early as our Jeep had to be fixed and he had an appointment yesterday to get it done. He told me to just stay with Jared as Jared was having so much fun with his 4 year old cousin from Florida who came to visit (they are staying 40 minutes away from where we live). Hubby called me on the phone and said that FedEx had delivered a package and told me who it was from. I told him to open it and sure enough it was a computer. When my hubby came back up to pick us up, Jared was so excited! He couldn't wait to come home and see his very own first computer! It just made his day! I want to thank all of you as this is something very special that you do! Thanks again! Sincerely, Terri Heil Also sincere thanks from Jared and Donald, too!

Hi Mary, I want to thank you for sending a box to my neighbor that has cancer. He was so thrilled when it arrived. He lays in his recliner chair a lot, as that is the most comfortable place that he can find due to the severe pain that he has and enjoys covering with the lapghan. Thank you for adding a bit of happiness to his life which he really heeds now. Bernice

Mary, My cousin Linda Brock in Hammond , In. just called me about the box fed ex left at her door. She was crying and telling me how much it meant to her and she said she would be writing you to thank you as she does not have a computer. By the way, her Mom, my Aunt, cannot remember anything today. We don't know if the cancer has spread to her brain or not and she isn't hearing enough today to talk over the phone. Everyone please keep her in your prayers. And i'd like to thank you for the love box sent to her too. Mary - Wv

Mary, Paul said to thank you for the box. You made him cry!!! He's behaving himself, and taking his meds (and beginning to feel better!!) because of the box, or maybe it was the threat that if he died, I would refuse to come to his funeral, let alone sing, LOL!!! (I would still go, but I don't want him to know that!!!) But he's in better spirits, so the loveghan did it's job!!! Thanks from me too. He's my best friend, and I couldn't bear to lose him!! Hugs, Maria

Dear Maria, I received a FedEx package in the mail today and the first person that came to my mind was you that might have sent it. Eventhou, it had a sender name: Mary Reinhart, I don't know anyone by that name and also my husband doesn't know anyone by that name. If it was you, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your thoughtfulness and hard work on the afghan and other little stuff with it. I have been busy working and collecting pictures of my mother and also putting a program leaflet today for the funeral mass. My time is precious just like you. Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers. From All of Us With Love, Christine, Glenn, Michael, Angela and Lorraine Zelek's family

Wednesday after coming home from the Doctor office their was a package on the porch from Fed-ex. My hubby saw it as he was pulling in the driveway. Here after coming in the house hubby gave it to me and what a wonderful surprise to receive the beautiful lapquilt and all of the crosses and Angel. It sure cheered up my day and made it so much brighter! Thank you all so much for keeping me in your prayers and the love you have shown towards me during my stroke and stay in the hospital and here at home. The package was so much appreciated! What the doctor said again to me on wednesday that a blood clot did go to the area in the brain for your speech. He said that would be why I was talking very slow. I have all of my feeling back on my right side now PTL for his blessing on that and nothing wrong with my speech, another blessing. My Dr took me off the low dose asprin and I'm just on the Plavix now. I was brusing for no reason is why I went to see him on Wednesday . I did lose another 1/2 pound from last friday the 16th but was eating the Low Cholesterol diet they had me on in the hospital. So my Doctor told me to eat what I would like to eat and gain some weight back. SO with a help of a dear friend that calls me just about every night gave me a list of things to have till they call me on Saturday and see how I did with that. Then guess I'll get a new list of foods to eat..lol Thats good though as it helps me and when my adult children cook dinner what to make. I went to PT yesterday to be evaluated and they told me I didn't need them.. another good report! I have to go back to see my Doctor again On July 7th. He's going to take blood so I have to fast for 14 hours. He's not leaving anything unturned. He also did another ekg on me in his office. I know the one nurse was worried that my insurance wouldn't pay for it and his remark was " If they do, they do if they don't we aren't going to worry about it, I want it done today" So done it was and it came back fine. Test they did while I was in the hospital was they checked the vains on the sides of my neck.cat scan, blood work, echo on my heart and then what they call a "bubble test" as well after they do the first part of the echo. It's just Saline solution shook up to make bubbles and they inject it into your IV. They watch the bubbles go through your vains and it tells them how the blood is flowing she said. Never had that done before and to me it burned the first two times but not the 3rd time. The one nurse said others have told her that as well. Others it doesnt bother them. Oh well I have a strange body ..LOL They also did a MRI an another test where they checked the vain in the back of my neck and he checked the sides as well it's and echo something hubby can't remember what it was called. That one they did in my hospital room. All of those test came back fine so blessing there! I don't see the other doctor till the 16th of July. He's out of town right now. I hope he shows me the cat scan.. would like to see the spot they keep talking about. Again thank you everyone for your prayers and the wonderful box. Angel Hugs Sandy Back to working on my cross in the pocket for the box I'm sending out soon. Will post when it gets sent out and what all is in it. All have a blessed Day!
