Dear Mrs. Reinhart, Thank you so much for brightening Cody's heart with your packages, he was so grateful to have something to open on Christmas morning. I will be taking up collections/donations from my community in the coming months to thank you for bringing a smile to so many faces aroung the country. May God continue to bless you throughout this New Year! You'll be hearing from me again. Joyce Calter

Your kindness was very much appreciated. Thank you so much for being so caring. It takes special people to do this for complete strangers. May God bless you always! This isn't much but hope it helps a little. Thank you, Hershel Gill

Dear Online Angels, Thank you for the Christmas gifts you have sent for us. Mom & Dad had some rough times this year and we thought we wouldn't get a good Christmas but thanks to you we have gotten that good Christmas. Thanks. Sincerely, Angelina Aikens Thanks for thinking of us.

Deary Mary, Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated. OSF St. Mary Medical Center OB Dept.

I was talking to my friend jean today whom you sent a box to while she was in the hospital. She absolutly loves her ghan. Said she was cuddleing under it when she was in the hospital. She kept having temps and chills and would pull up the ghan over her and snglle and how it brought her many great thoughts, comfort and warmth. She's home now and when she's resting in her chair the ghan is on her. She reallys loves it and asked me to pass along her thanks and appreciation. Teresa B

Received a box from Online Angels yesterday, Inside this box were 17 hats, 4 pair mittens (and 2 stray mittens that didn't have mates, Mary, if you find you still have them somewhere, I have the mates), 4 preemie and 1 baby receiving blankets, 2 bibs, 1 pkg of washcloths, 7 items of gently used clothing, and 11 baby care items. Thanks, Mary, and all your volunteers, for many items to help fill our bundles for MN babies! Beth :-)

Dear Online Angel Friends, Thank you so very very much for the loveghans for Emma and Robert DesRosiers which arrived today at their home. Sadly, Mr. DesRosiers passed away from his battle with panreatic cancer Tuesday morning at 3:00 a.m. at home, but he will be buried with his comforting loveghan. Emma, upon receiving hers, was so touched that she was speechless; thank you for sending this wonderful comfort to her in this time of her profound grief. Sincerely, Suzanne M. Zajewski

I had requested a box from you for Jane James. She got it yesterday and was thrilled! She knew I crocheted and called to see if it was from one of my groups. She doesn't have access to a computer and wanted me to thank you for the beautiful lap robe, cards, angel, and bookmarks. It made her day. She is such a kind and humble lady. I wish you could have heard the gratitude in her voice as she described each of her new treasures! Thanks so much, Cindy

Hi Everyone, Just wanted to let you know that Mom called last night to say she received her loveghan package. She went into great detail about each square, the crosses etc. It is soooo cold here right now...she said she will put it around her legs as she watches tv at night and does squares for us. (: She just started and wanted me to tell you all that she has 2 done and will be working on them each night. She was really thrilled ladies and if I know my mom I will get several more calls about it this week...she was so touched. Thank you all so very much and a special thanks to your mom, Mary, for her part. I dont' think I have ever thanked her for all of her hard work but none of this would be possible without her. (: Love to all, Ashley

Mary My dad just left and wanted me to let you know that his neighbor Juanita Egri got the afghan and was so excited! Dad said he heard someone knocking at the door, there she stood with this afghan in her arms and crying. Juanita told him that he had a remarkable wife, as she was still looking out for her. With these colder nites, she'd go to bed instead of turning up the heat. Now she can wrap up in this afghan, read or watch tv. She asked him if he could make contact with the online angels as she has no computer, well neither does he. But he knew I'd submitted her name to you and knew I could let you know. Thank you for sending Juanita some love. MaryEllis

Hello all!!! My husband received a box from Online Angels and asked that I tell everyone he said thank you very much and he knows that he'll use it. When I posted that he was having surgery and was also a diabetic, Mary asked if I would like for her to send him a box. I did not tell him it was coming, because to be truthful, I wanted to see his reaction. He knows that I am making squares and mailing them and they make afghans, etc. but I did not think that he really realized what we were doing. He called me at work and told me that he had received the box. I asked him where did it come from and he told me that it was from that group I belonged to. I guess he understood better that I thought. I was telling him about all the different people from all over the world that helps with this and he was very impressed. I could not help but look at it and wonder who made each square. His surgery was supposed to be this morning but the surgeon called last night and said an emergency came up and would need to reschedule it for tomorrow (Friday) morning. Please take a second and say a prayer that it will all go well and he will begin to feel better very shortly. Again, thanks from him and from me! Love you all, Judy in MS

Recently I had a box sent to my Father and Step mother. She has had multiple strokes , and is in very bad shape ........ He is her caregiver and wearing down , as she is still at home and he takes very little outside help He was so thrilled when he got the box. Kind of like Judy's husband, my Dad knew I made a lot of crocheted squares,( I crochet at all of our family gatherings ) but I didn't think it soaked in what I meant about them being made into a love-ghan. He absolutely loves it ....... He has it draped over a chair so anyone that comes into the room can see most of it I also loved looking at each square......... pondering who made them etc............... and it made me think of all the emails and all the Angels....... I think I even saw one of two of mine in there ........LOL....If not, I will pretend I did ......plus got an idea how the rest of you make them etc. Thank you all so much ........... We really are honored to be Angels and so blessed to have each other ...... and Mary and her family that lend so much support to us all Love and thanks so much to the Angels Kay

Dustin got the box. There was a wonderful polar fleece blanket in there. Also a couple of toys and something else that I can't remember:( But he did love it all, and it did cheer him up. Rusty in MN Thanks ladies for making Dustin 's day. hugs,Rena

Dear Angels, Thank you for your recent donation to our babies at Community Medical Center. We appreciate all the beautiful items you have sent. Presently because of all the wonderful people such as yourselves who have sent us donations for our babies, we now have an ample supply to meet our babies' every requirement. We're sure there are others who are in need of your generosity and we would not feel slighted if at this point in time our packages were sent to them. Our babies would love to have you provide for them every few months. This way we could make sure our babies as well as others were receiving the love and donations the "Angels" provide. We hope you continue your efforts in this new year! NICU Staff

My friends arrived home yesterday from the hospital. RJ had surgery to implant two Spinal Column Stimulators to help with the pain. He was ready to "pass on" because the pain was too great and he was giving up. We hope and pray that this surgery will help to lengthen his life.. Carole told me they received their box before leaving for the hospital.. they want me to thank everyone for sharing our love with them.. I guess RJ is totally hogging the afghan and won't share it at all with Carole.. She said they took the crosses with them except for a yellow one that their granddaughter wanted to keep to be closer to pappa. A huge thank you from RJ, Carole and myself for giving them that extra boost of knowing that there are Angels out there that care enough to give. Thank you, Robbie

Mary or whoever, Your group sent me the nicest box with a love-ghan and some bookmarks, and the sweetest crocheted angel. Bless all of you, it really perked me up. this is so very pretty. Thanks, Gladys Walker

Dear Online Angels, Thank you for the loveghan that was sent to me! It is very nice and warn and actually makes me feel better when my chest really hurts. The pink scrunchie was ver cool and I have been wearing it. The Angel Pin and the Ribbon Angel are so neat! They'll be in my dorm room when I get back and I know my friends will want to play with them. And the magnetic flyswatter will be great for smacking my friends. ;-D Thank you again for the box of very cool stuff. It was all very nice and I love it all as well. Katie Efthimiou

my friend Kris Breese got her box! Infact you sent it Monday and it arrived on Wednesday! She asked me if I had given you her name. I had to fess up that I did. She told me that she got this big box of stuff from Online Angels and said at first she could'nt imagine what it was. Then she opened it, read the lovely note you included and she guessed I had given you her name. She showed me all the lovely stuff! She was very happy and blessed to receive it! Thank you so much for brightening her day! Blessings, Darlene Schmeckpeper

HI Mary! I see you sent a box to afghans for Afghans...many, many thanks! So nice of you and I am sure the gifts will be very much appreciated. Hope you're having a great week! Love, Nancy H in OR :-)

To the Online Angels Group: Thank you for the love-ghan. But I would like to know who submitted my name for that nice gift. I would like to thank them with a card or a e-mail. Thank you very much. JoAnne George

Dear Mary and all the angels, My husband and I received a wonderful box of love from you yesterday. It was another troubling day for us. The afghan and angels gave us the feeling of love and comfort. It is a comfort to know that other people care even though they can do nothing other than give us love and prayers. Please continue your prayers for our family as well as my sister Shirley G. who will be having hand surgery shortly. She has endured so much. I was thinking of how I could help the group. I have a stash of fabric from past sewing project that include a variety of fabric types and designs. I would be willing to send these to you if there is someone who can use them for making lap blankets. At this time I just can't do the sewing. Financially I cannot send anything but could manage to do the postage for the fabric. I have lots of yarns. Some of these are unsuitable in color for my main concentration of the Ships Project (hats for our overseas troops) so I will try to get some afghan squares done and send them to you. Do you want 6" or 7" squares? Again, thank you from the bottoms of our hearts. Bless you all! Sincerely, Dianne & Frank Lane

Our daughter called in tears, the Fed Ex guy delivered her pkg and she was so surprised! The angels and crosses she said would be put in her Bible. Steph said now she understood how I felt wrapping in my loveghan. The afghan she said made the pain go away for awhile. THANK YOU ALL for putting so much work into work. Stephanie Bilpuch by way of mom (MaryEllis).

Dear Online Angels. Thank you so much for your handmade package! Your generous donation is very meaningful and will be deeply appreciated. You can be assured that your contribution is going to be put to excellent use by those who really need the warmth and the kindness. We continue to work with the American Friends Service Committee to collect and pack, and World Concern is transporting our afghan blankets and other knit and crochet garments to displaced Afghan families. It is a pleasure to know that our handiwork will make it over safely. Thank you, thank you for participating -- for your caring about the Afghan people and for taking action! We promise not to forget Afghanistan -- you are making that possible. Lots of good wishes for 2004, and warm regards, Ann PS: And, of course, please help spread the word to friends who knit and crochet. We really want to get the word out. Download and print our PDF flyer (click on link, please) for posting at your local yarn shop and other community places and for sharing with friends who knit and crochet. Much appreciated! Ann Rubin

I just recieved a loveghan box by surprise and i tell ya it really moved me. I needed especially today. I have been knitting and crocheting since I was5 years old. thanks again Nora Awalt

Kathy received her special box today. She is so happy that people are thinking of them. And wanted to say thankyou to whoever for sending it. She dosent know who requested it. That good. But anyways she is still pretty down, her DH took a major turn for the worse today with his cancer and is now bedridden. Both feel like just giving up. Only God knows from one day to the next what is going to happen but in the meantime I would like for everyone to pray for them please. Judy

Dear Nancy and all Angels, Thank you so much for sending this "letter". Today I lost my very dear friend June. She's the lady I requested a lovebox and prayers for in early December. Last night June's daughter called me to let me know Mom was near the end and would I like to come to the house. I had the honor of sitting with my dear friend and holding her hand. I told her that I loved her, I reminded her of the funny things we had done together and, even though she was non-responsive, when I told her that the little Special Needs child that I have been working with for 3 1/2 years finally spoke my name, she squeezed my hand. The hospital bed had been set up in her living room where all of her family pictures are hanging. Relatives and friends had travelled many miles and were all at the house and there on June's bed was her loveghan. Lauren said that June truly loved it. Bless you all for your prayers and for being here to listen to. Roberta
