My friend Santa Blake received her loveghan Friday and she was in tears. She just could not believe that people she did not know could care so much and just know what she liked. Everything she recieved she just loved. She is our part time cook at our senior center and her husband had just passed away after a lenghy illness and it was so good to see her so excited and happy. Thanks again for sending the loveghan. Sshe has told just about everyone she met this week about her "gift" from strangers. I will be sending in more squares and hats. June in AZ

Although Warren had been sick, I did not realize that I would lose my husband of 37 years so soon. But God has sent Angels to help me. The Love Box came just when I needed a hug. As I opened the box and read each note I cried a bit but knew that I would be okay. God Bless you all. Maureen Seewald

I'm sorry that it has taken so long to pen this note to you. I am so very grateful for the absolutely beautiful contributions from the on-line angels for our mothers here in our Pre-Natal Clinic. The heartwarming knit items have brought joy to recent immigrants from other countries, depressed mothers, those who are in abusive relationships and so many more who are disadvantaged economically. All of the staff is charmed and delighted by what you all have done for us and our patients. Thanks you so much for your largesse of spirit. Warmest Regards, Joan Seergy, LCSW of Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York

Mary-just wanted to thank you again for the loveghan box you sent to my aunt. Today was her funeral, and the crochetted angel & the angel pin that came in the box with the loveghan went with her. Many people commented on the angel, and I was proud to tell them where it came from. I truly believe that she's going to take it with her & show it off to all the angels up there!! Thank you again-I'm proud to belong to this group of loving "angels". Hugs, Maria

Dear Sister Mary, Our prayer is with you and those that carry out the work of God in the USA. We would want to thank you for your desire to assist us with the task that God has set before us as we obey His command to go into the world and proclaim the Gospel to everyone, trusting in His Word for the blessing of His return. In Mat. 28:18-20 (18Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in£ the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”) Christ commands that we go and preach the gospel and make disciples of all nations until the day of His return. It says that it will be good for those He finds doing his work when He returns. It will be an encouragement to hear of your work, please communicate with us and keep us inform of your progress so that our spirit may be refreshed and strengthen.Your Bibles will be helpful to many in their new life in Christ, obedience, and growth in His Words. Please let us hear from you again! Your brother in Christ Timothy Olago Pastor,Christian Bible Church

Mary-I just received a beautiful loveghan box. It was a wonderful suprise, unexpected to say the least. Now I know how everyone else feels when they receive this wonderful suprise. I don't know who submitted my name (am I allowed to ask?), but I just wanted to say thank you, and to let you know how much I appreciate it. It was sent at a time when I really needed a "hug". I am honored to be a part of such a wonderful group of loving people. Thank you again. Luv, Hugs, & blessings, Maria

I received your package this afternoon. Thank you so very much! I love the afghan & everything in the box. I wish I knew how to crochet like that!! I love the cross, too, & since I am going to be laid up this month, I can certainly get much use of the bookmarks. You are so kind to have sent me this wonderful package, along with the letter assuring me that I am loved. Needless to say I'm a bit nervous about the upcoming surgery. After Sunday, I won't be on-line for a while, but I wanted to let you know how very much I appreciate the package. Online Angels is a very worthwhile group. Thank you! Connie

saw Jack, my next door neighbor and he was trying to figure out who Online Angels were and how he came to get a box from them. So I told him I put his name in and something about the group. He said to tell everyone Thanks and he appreciated it so much. He had a great big smile on his face. :) It really pleased him that strangers care so much. He lives alone and this meant a lot to him. ~~Linda/NC

Hello angels, A few months ago, I sent in a request for a box and joined the OA group myself on the same day. The request was for a young mother named Dorothy whom I learned about through MOMS Club. She and her husband, Peter, were both diagnosed with cancer in December. Dorothy had a double mastectomy in early January and started chemo. Her husband started chemo himself shortly thereafter. When Dorothy got her loveghan box, Peter sent a lovely Thank You note that Mary forwarded to the list. She was so very appreciative that people she didn’t even know cared about her and prayed for her. I remember that Peter mentioned how she and their 2 y/o daughter would cuddle under the loveghan and talk about all the different colors and patterns. Peter’s chemo was successful and he was pronounced “cured.” But, sadly, Dorothy lost her battle on Sunday, May 1. They knew her condition was terminal, but thought she had several weeks left, or maybe even 2-3 months. She had accepted her pending death, but it was quite a shock when she went so fast. She got an infection on Saturday afternoon and passed away early the next morning. Anyway, I just want to tell each of you how much you touched this family’s life. I’ve stayed in touch with Karen, Dorothy’s MOMS Club president. Karen says that Dorothy took her loveghan with her every time she went to the hospital. She wrapped up in your love to stave off the cold that came with chemotherapy, to enjoy its warmth comfort, and to spend precious time with her little girl. I didn’t personally know Dorothy and her family. Perhaps it was the common bond of motherhood that brought me to OA on her behalf. Or perhaps it was because “there but by the grace of God go I.” Or maybe God and his angels led me here so that I could be a blessing to someone. Whatever the reason, I thank you for what you did for Dorothy and for what it’s done for me, to become a part of this loving group. Angel hugs, Terry in GA

I applaud the great work you and all your volunteers are doing. I checked out your website and was impressed by the number of boxes that have been shipped over the past few years. It was also good to see this great work originating from my home state of PA. Take care and God bless you and your "Online Angels." MAJ Dave Priatko

My dad received his lovghan box yesterday (actually, it was delivered to the house on Wednesday, and my stepmom took it to the hospital yesterday morning) and was absolutely amazed! He couldn't get over all of the beautiful items; and the fact that "strangers" had sent it to him. I haven't seen the lovghan yet (I will be going to see him on Saturday), but he assures me it is beautiful. He was especially touched by the "button poem". He wanted me to thank you all from the bottom of his heart (and mine too), and to let you know that all of your prayers are working. They are keeping him in the hospital a couple days longer than expected because of the pain he is experiencing, but he should be going home tomorrow. Again thanks so much; you have all touched both me and my dad. Love and hugs, Renata in Iowa

Thank you very much for the gifts ffrom Online Angels. They are beautiful. God bless you all. Donna M. Johnson

This is a thank you from my Mom's husband ............. he was very touched......... he said he knew it came from Angels , so he knew I had to be involved.........Made me very happy ........and I thank all the other angels for making this so Received the nicest package with a lap robe and several crosses in it. It says that it came from an 'on-line angel' so that must have been you. Many, many thanks. The lap robe is so pretty and warm. Passed my first cancer treatment Wednesday with flying colors and anticipate five more. Then with the help of god, I will be cancer free for many years. From Kay B

Hello and God bless you all. I have just received a love-ghan/lap robe from you. My husband and I were so surprised. We have no idea who requested this most special gift, but we wish to thank them and thank you for your thoughts. We have suffered the devastating loss of a child, and although it was August, 2004 when Zachary passed away,it seems like just last week. Our precious son had Down Syndrome and was the reason we woke up in the morning, and for 4 years he battled cancer, strokes due to chemo, seizures, diabetes as a result of chemo and scores of other ailments, but this blessed child, he was just 2l when he died, woke each morning with a smile and never cried except when in the most extreme pain, he loved Jesus and died with his entire family in the room with him, 3 brothers and 4 sisters and assorted nieces, nephews and in-laws. He died in the hospital, but that was home to him, he had been in the hospital for 3 months and he loved all the doctors and nurses who cared for him and they all loved him. My precious son left a legacy of love that we hope will carry on through all his siblings. No parent should ever have to bury a child, but if a child must die I wish they could do so in their daddy's arms as my son did. I would like to participate in Online Angels in my son's name to help spread the love he held in his heart for everyone he ever met. Thank you so much for your thoughts, you have no idea how appreciated they are and I just wish I could thank the person who arranged for this gift. God bless you all and may his angels hold you in the palms of their hands. Joanne Davis

I received a phone call from our family friend, Neil Concannon, the retired pastor who’s wife just died. He said that he received a beautiful afghan from Online Angels, and some crosses. He knew it was my group, because I asked him first if I could submit his name. I didn’t tell him what he would receive, so it was a BIG surprise to him. He invited my DH and me to drop by the retirement home where he lives so I can see it. He asked me if I would be sure to thank you for him. Ladies, you have all made a heroin of me; Thank you so much. Of course, you, Mary made it happen. Neil is not only a retired Baptist pastor, but was once the Chaplin in the military, and also Chaplin of the Oregon State Penitentiary. He is 87 years old, and is still able to play golf, but I worry about him since his “beautiful” wife, as he always called her, died. He is very lonely now. Thank you Mary, once again. Karen Curtis, Oregon

Mary, just got this from my friend Sharon..who had talked with Ruth and she loves the luvghan...thanks again to all the angels... Love n Hugs, Allene I spoke with Ruthie last night and she received her Luvghan on Saturday! She said that she was so surprised to see the package in front of her door and could not imagine what it was.... She opened it and said it is beautiful!!!! She told me that she cried when she saw it and read the card or note enclosed. Ruthie asked me to PLEASE thank the angels for sending this to her. She is not very well, ofcourse, and has already started her chemo last week, which I did not know. She had a bad time on Friday with it. She will have another today, and three times a week for this whole month, as you know. Did not tell me what is scheduled after that, if she is on one month and off another or continueing month after month. We did not get into that. Anyway, all went smoothly with her delivery and she will treasure the afghan. What a wonderful and generous thing to do for those who are facing devastating illness and treatments. To know that people care and embrace them with warmth from the fibers of yarn and hearts. Love and blessings, dear friend. Sharon

Dear Angel Mary~ I am writing for my dear friend, Ruthie Robitzer, to thank you for the beautiful Luvghan she received. She is not well enough right now to reply to you but I wanted to let you know how much that gift of love means to her. You will always be in my prayers and so will all of the Online Angels. To make something so lovely for a stranger in their time of trial and difficulty, is a generous gift of love and caring. You can not imagine how much that can mean to one who is facing a possible terminal illness with chemo, and multiple medications and daily challenges. Well, maybe you do know because God is using you all as His instuments here on earth. Ruthie and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. God bless and keep you safe and well always. Sincerely, Ruth Robitzer and Sharon Brown

My sister-in-law took the afternoon shift and came to our house with the loveghan. It came in the afternoon and my MIL wouldn't keep it until I had put her name on so no one could claim it. It is just beautiful and she is thrilled. I don't know who made it, but it sure gave me ideas of what kind of material to look for to send in. This one was in peach and blues and had either dragon flies or butterflies on the backing. She has seen me crocheting squares for months and sending them in, but neither one of us really got the idea of how much it can mean to someone to receive a box until yesterday. Great day and hugs to all, Toni Ann

Thank you very much Mary for sending me the LoveGhan, Angels & Crosses. I really appreciate it. FedX tried to deliver it yesterday but I wasn't home, so they just left a message and I went and picked it up today, all the time wondering who was sending me something through FedX. What a nice surprise when I got it home later this afternoon and opened it up. It was such a comfort to know that so many strangers care about me. It brought tears to my eyes. Please thank all the angels who contributed to this loveghan. Hugs from Canada Ev

I am the Nurse educator for the Labor and Delivery Unit at USA Women's and Children's Hospital in Mobile, AL. We recently recieved a box of gowns, hats, booties and blankets from your organization. We greatly appreciate the gifts. We will give them to our families who lose their baby prior to or at birth. These items of clothing will give them something to keep that belonged to their precious child. Often, the memory of their birth experience is all they have, and your thoughtfulness will be treasured by many. Some of the items were for older children. I will forward them to our Pediatric Nurse Educator for use in the Pediatric Dept. Again, thankyou for your gift. Lisa Forsberg

Dear Online Angels, Gene's laprobe came today, and it is the most beautiful quilt I've seen! He loved it! It came at the perfect time too. He was due for chemo today, but his blood counts were way too low,so instead he had to have tests done to make sure there's no infections .He also has to stay home, and limit contact with others so he doesn't get sick,so he was a little down. the gifts really perked him up! He asked me to put the crosses and hearts in a frame for him,so he can see them all the time. You are truly Angels and what you do means so very much. God bless you all! Toni Gallagher
