I really love it very much and it was cold when I came home from the hospital on Friday 19th of 2002 and I used it. It is really warm & the cross I put them around my room. I am doing pretty good. Dear Mary Reinhart & The Online Angels Group, Thank you so much for the wonderful box of goodies my husband & I received in the midst of difficulties & loss. After having lost my father unexpectedly on Christmas & having almost lost my husband a week later from surgery complications, your gift provided us with comfort & a reminder that we have been ins so many people's prayers. We received the afghan the same day my husband came home from the hospital. It provided immediate comfort as he was experiencing a lot of pain & chills-reactions from al lthe drugs he has been on during his hospitalization. Since then, & after another hospitalization for some minor complications he finally is back home & made it just in time to have been a part of his sons birth(Jan. 28th)! Now I'm getting to enjoy the afghan some as I attempt to get some rest after such a difficult & exhausting month & after having given birth to a healthy baby! Once again, thanks to all the wonderful Ladies who contributed to the box of love we received. the afghan is beautiful & will be a constant reminder to us of the love & thoughtfulness you expressed to us during both a difficult & a joyous time in our lives! Hi Mary, I went to Corpus Christi to visit my sister yesterday. Rose was a recent recipient of one of your wonderful On-Line Angels afghans. I'm sure you have so many stories to keep up with, but her husband was fatally stabbed on New Year's day. She said she took it right to her room and covered herself with it and went right to sleep. She has her little angel on her night stand. She loves the colors and takes comfort in all the love and good wishes that it was made with. She was having a hard day yesterday but that is be expected. but I would like to thank OA(a lil delayed) from the bottom of my heart for the beautiful Loveghan you sent to me. I was surprised and touched when I got the box. My daughter had told me some boxes came from OA and I told her that I won an auction item and that the cookbooks I had ordered were probably there too.so when I got back from the hospital from the pneumonia she brought them over and I was so surprised to find out I won another raffle..what a beautiful afghan.and then I opened the other box and found the Loveghan and angels and crosses..oh my I had tears running down my face reading it..never thought id be on the receiving end of a Loveghan and I tell you the love in that loveghan radiates when you snuggle up in it.it is amazing.I love it and my youngest daughter and I snuggle up in it many nights and watch movies together and now that I am back home it is on my sofa and I wrap up in it every night watching tv.so thank you thank you thank you for sending it..it really did lift my spirits as well at a time when it seemed that so many things were happening to my health and I was starting to lose my strength.its hard to realize when you sit and crochet those squares for the loveghans..what an impact they have when put together, like being touched from different people and different places.. all connected by love and caring ..it is a VERY special feeling indeed.
