Thank You Page 18

Dear Mary Reinhart, Merry Christmas! I am a British volunteer who returns to the Main on the Cheyenne River Reservation at Christmas in order to help out at this busy time. I had the pleasure of opening your very thoughtful & kind donation. Things can be hard in many ways on the Reservation but especially at Christmas and in the winter. Your donations help us volunteers to help children and families during this time. The back packs you sent are wonderful presents for the children & teens in college and school and helping them out with school supplies. They are always wonderful for parents who are returning back into education. Without people like yourself and the donations we receive, we volunteers would not be able to help the people we do. thank you! Kind regards, Nikki

Online Angels, Your thoughtful kindness and generous way, was all that was needed to make my day. Thanks for all your thoughts and love you sent my way. Connie Allen

Mary, she just loves it!!! Hope it will perk her up so she will start eating, but time will tell!!! Love, Ann in Reno, NV

Well, then, a special thanks from me to you and your volunteer helpers ... we'll use the items gladly this month, as my next work group meeting is the 11th! Beth :-)

Dear Mary, We are so grateful for what you ladies have done. On December 24, when the Marines pass out Toys for Tots, we are going to be able to have a blanket with an outfit for a baby in case a mom shows up with a baby in arms. The neighborhood is the old Medina neighborhood of Tunis and trust us anyone coming is poor and these precious gifts at "our holiday" are going to speak volumes. [Note from Mary H--The Muslim population recently finished their celebration of Ramadan. "our holiday" refers to the Christian holiday of Christmas.] You have been so sweet to us and the more we have bragged about "On Line Angels" the more we keep receiving from others. Someone gave us a gift to buy toys for the Marines, it just doesn't stop, but then neither do we. Yes, another box came today. We did so much business with the Post Office for our company this year, (located about 5 minute walk from our house) that everyone knows us, slow post and rapid post. God is really good about working this out. If you are needing to know something specific we need...we could use a box to be focused on sleepers for 3 to 6 months. The babies at the hospital have been very little lately. We are having a tea in the morning for ladies interested in feeding the babies at Hopital Rabta. We did this about 2 years ago and we had regular rotations, however many have left the country and now there are new faces among the XPat folks, so we want to round up a new crew. [Note from Mary H -- XPat is a term used to designate people from one country who live and work in another country for a designated time due to an employment situation, like being "on loan" from a company in their homeland. For example, we came to France in 2001 so that my husband could fill a position with Aventis Crop Science in Lyon for a 3-year contract; we were "on loan" from ACS in the US. Now we are not expatriates, because he changed jobs and works under a contract with a French company; we are now legal residents here. ] God bless you and keep you, Linda

To Online Angels Group Chyenne Children Services (CCS) correct address is: Cheyenne Children Services, P.O. CCS also is not affiliated with Northern Cheyenne Tribal Programs, ie. Elderly Program, which is funded by Northern Cheyenne Tribe & State of Montana. CCS is funded by donations. Autumn Standing Elk is employed by CCS. Thank you for past donations and the three packages I just received today. Thank you for your attention Florence Running Wolf, CCS Director

I would like to thank Mary Reinhart and the online angels staff for sending me and my family a thanksgiving box. We received it, and was surprised indeed, but so thankful. There really are angels out there that care. Please continue to pray for our family, we need lot's and lot's of prayers. It's people like you that care for people in this world that really need the help, like us. I just wish they had more in this world, but God is going to take care of us, and he know's what our needs are, and my faith is very strong in him, and it's just the hardest part is waiting, but he has a plan for us, i just know he does. He is so wonderful, and i love him sooooooooooooo much. There is nothing in this world he cannot do to save us. Thank you, for thinking of us, and God bless you and your families, Dianne

Dear Angels, My name is Sgt Monique F. Howard and I have been in the Marines for 5 years now. I am the Platoon Sergeant for the Military Police Detachment for the Marine Service Support Group-24, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit. This is our second deployment here to the Middle East, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Most of the time my guys and myself spend on the roads of Iraq escorting convoys safely to their destinations. Already (since July) we have logged more than 6,000 highway miles on the road. We stay on a base about 1 hour away from Baghdad. We live in a tent city and sleep on bunkbeds. I would like to request that snacks and hygiene products be sent to us. Since we are always on the road, we have to get chow in where we can. We are looking forward to coming home soon to be with our familes. I have several Marines that will be going off to the altar to get married, I have one Marine that is expecting a daughter, and two Marines that are already married. I would just like to thank everyone for their support while we are over here. I will make sure that my Marines keep in contact with everyone that sends an address. Thank you again. Sincerely, Sgt Howard, MF MP-DET, MSSG-24, USMC

Hi Mary! I just opened a box from the Angels and oh my word, I am speechless! And anyone who knows me, knows that this is quite amazing! :) I can't begin to express my gratitude for the beautiful things that are in that box! The booties and hats and toys etc are just perfect. I was just saying to my group that we were a little short for our delivery this Saturday. Guess what? Not any more! Thank you so much from the very bottom of my heart. I would like to mention something though. The box was addressed to TLC for Angels-SW Missouri Chapter. I am no longer with them. I have started my own non-profit called For the Love of Babies, Inc. I don't know how you keep your records and such, but could you change that for me? Thanks so much, the generosity of this group is soooooo amazing!!!!!! To whom it may concern, My family received the boxes today and I am amazed at the beautiful craft and how perfect the toys were. Thank you so very much. Regards, Kathleen Hatt

Ok, Mom. I am trying to scream, but can't stop crying.... I got home from taking my Algebra final (which went well but gave me a brain-ache), and there was a box on my front porch. I thought it was for you because it said Online Angels on it. Then I noticed it said "From Online Angels" and so I opened it. It's a box full of Santa Claus stuff I am presuming for my girls. So I want to scream because you told them all I'm down and out, but can't cuz I can't quit crying so hard..... Just tell them all thank you very much.....What more can I say.. And thanks, Mom. I love you. Carmie Stanger

Ladies, I had added our grandchildren to the Christmas list due to financial problems in their families...Both families received their boxes yesterday(Wednesday)...I want to send a HUGE THANK YOU to all that helped with this special project...The boxes were Wonderful...The boxes that OnlineAngels send out are to be a supplement to anything that the parents of all the children in the database can afford to buy for them...But I want all of you to know what a difference these boxes make to a family that can't get their children anything or very little...Your Love and Thoughtfulness to these children will make their Christmas much brighter...I pray that God will Bless all of You as much as you have Blessed all these children... Sharon Shepard

Dear Mary, Thank you so much for your gracious donation! What a blessing! Please know you have made a difference in this child and many others lives! happy Holidays Erin Havrilla Vanderbilt Children's Hospital NICU

My name is Pam Gibson and I live in Glendale Arizona I received a package yesterday from online angels for my sons Kenny and Brandon and granddaughter Kora and I wanted to thank you for helping to make their Christmas special GOD BLESS Pam

This box was too good to be true! It arrived soaking wet, something got to it, that is for sure. However, nothing inside touched. We thought that the shampoo bottles might have broken or leaked, however it was definitely someone else's box that wet ours. The diapers are beautiful. Bottom line is that if it doesn't upset anyone, we would like to use them for our ladies who go and feed the babies as shoulder pads. These babies are not used to being held and they throw up all over us just from love and attention. We have smocks (which were made by me) that identify us as the "Volunteering Ladies" who come to feed the "Abandoned Babies". We have all of the packs fixed so pretty for the distribution on Christmas Eve. We took sleepers and wrapped them in baby blankets and tied bows around them. You "On Line Angels" will be active on Christmas Eve with the USA Marines in Tunisia! This is so special. We are going to try to take pictures without upsetting anyone and trust us if we get one precious great one, we will share so that you can share. All our love, Bob & Linda JACKSON

Thankyou I have received my package. Thanks to the generousity my kids will have a Happy Christmas. Pauline

Sue Brown said the afghan sent to her and Paul is so beautiful and she wanted to thank all of you for making it and sending it to them. She appreciates all the prayers and love that went into the afghan. Jeannine Franks, mother of Dillon and Zack, is so thrilled with the box sent to her for the boys. She said it really does help to put something under their tree for the boys' Christmas. She wanted all of you to know that you are all such special Angels and "God bless each one of you". ~~Linda/NC

Hello, I just want to thank you so much for submitting Katherine's name to the ANGELS! We got the box yesterday and it's full of wonderful things. God Bless & Happy Holidays, danabeth

Thank you for sending the Loveghan to Tony P. Just spoke with his dad who told me Tony was VERY surprised and extremely grateful. Tony recently got out of the hospital as an inpatient, however, he will be going regularly as an out-patient. I was told that the loveghan was absolutely beautiful and done in very vibrant and masculine colors. Tony wanted me to let you all know that he thanks you all very, very much!! He was feeling so down and this really brightened his day (and his outlook). Also, thank you for all of the beautiful crosses. Iris S.

Hi Mary Just wanted to let you know that I received the package for the Klamath Falls Gospel Mission. Thank you so much, I know that they will really appreciate all these goodies. Quilty hugs & purrs Ginny

Saw Doris Hughes today and she was telling me about receiving her package of winter items. She was so thrilled with everything. She had to show me all the items. They were beautiful! She wanted me to let you know how thankful she is for sending the package to her. She is an elderly woman who lives alone and has very little income. So thank you all for making her Holiday season special. ~~Linda/NC

I also wanted to let you know that the box arrived to Brooke and Family...they wanted me to thank you very much for everything..they couldn't believe that someone not related could care so much..Thank you.. Love & Hugs... MaryC

Hi Mary! I wanted you to know that my Uncle, George Leukhardt, opened up his box yesterday and it couldn't have come at a better time. He retired that day and had a scary episode out in the cold. When he exited his car, he was just staring into space. My cousin, his daughter, was there and said he couldn't talk or move. They think the extreme cold put too much pressure on his brain where those three large tumors are (at least that's their guess). He also underwent radiation that day, so the box couldn't have been opened at a better time. The angel quilt will be great for keeping him warm in this cold weather. Thank you again so much from the bottom of my heart! God Bless, Dawn

Once again, thank you to all who contributed hats to help children stay warm! The remainder of hats will be taken to "Coats for Kids" to make sure there's a set for everyone with their coats. :o) Thank you to: Mary @ online angels Amazing and beautiful jobs - all of you! For those of you celebrating the Solstice today, Happy Yule! Blessings, Shell

I came home from school and saw a package on my front porch marked "Online Angels". I assumed it was something for my mother since I know she contributed. I opened it and found the letter inside saying it was for my family. Since I am a somewhat prideful person, I wanted to scream because I knew my mother had shared the fact that I was down and out at the moment. That feeling lasted for a brief second as I began to look through all the wonderful things that were sent for my girls.....Then I began to cry. I have always prided myself on my independence and ability to take care of my own. I can't describe the love, understanding and sincere caring I could feel as I realized that there really are angels out there. Thank you so much to all of you angels who have helped my children have a Christmas this year. Without you, there wouldn't be one. I love you all. What more can I say other than "Thank you". Carmen Stanger and Britney, Shelby and Madelon

Wanted to let the angels know that Richard Bernard rec'd his box Christmas Eve and he is still smiling. They all could just not believe it. He has all his crosses laying around his bed and is covered with his loveghan. He says it feels so warm and like he is being hugged when he put it on. He is still in the hospital and prob will be there between 8 and 9 more weeks. He is such a nice man. He and the family said to tell everyone thank you for making his day. hugs,Rena

About a year ago or more OA sent my neighbor Dolores Martin a box. She had told my Mom she had just came home from a chemo treatment and just wasn't in the mood to open the box. She said it kept telling her to open me so finally she did. She said she felt so much love come out of that box...she snuggled in the afghan and felt so hugged. She told everyone about it and took it with her for every next treatment she had to have. She worked for a while longer and she kept it in her office and used it daily. She was in love with that thing...lol. I got the bad news yesterday that Dolores passed away Monday morning. She was such a sweetie that I know she will be missed by all her family. Please say a prayer for her family for their loss. hugs to all, Rena

Mary I delivered my moms box today. She knows people donate the squares and the first thing out of her mouth was "How Beautiful! Who sews them together?" Mary's mom I said. She then replied what a special lady she must be to do all that sewing to make people happy!!! So Mom to Mom a big "THANKS" Jimmie Lu

The box arrived safely on the 21th, and we had to pay only 8$, which I think is an airport tax for any parcel arriving, so we did not need to pay customs. We are thankful for all the ladies who took part in this gift, with their skills, their time and money. Some of the items such as safety diaper pins and baby bottles have already been distributed to very poor mothers at our clinic. The wool will be given to the women in prison so they can knit sweaters for kids of the shanty-town( we give them some money for their work). The most useful things will be the baby clothes and blankets, as the weather is damp and rather cold during the winter here ( on this Chrismas day I think of the birth of baby Jesus not far from here and in a poor family). We will be able to make use of the little books in english in our litteracy classes, the kids learn rudiments of english, as well as reading and writing in arabic. If more packages would be sent, school supplies would be useful, such as color pencils, pencil cases, school bags, etc..Baby and children clothes are always useful, they don't have to be new, but in good condition.Woollen booties are also useful, both for women in prison, and also for kids and old people in the shanty-town.Bandages would be very nice and are used a lot in the clinic.I suppose you are not able to send over-the -counter meds such as Tylenol ( Acetaminophen is the chemical name)? They come in bulk form of 1000 tablets at stores such as "Sam's".I usually ask travelers to bring some in their suitcases, but I am asking just in case. Have a very blessed Christmas, thank you for sharing God's blessings with the very poor. Gratefully, Agnes

I haven't been able to get too much time to email you until now. The Mitchell family sends their deepest gratitude and appreciation for their box recieved. Th echildren did get to have a Christmas, small but appreciated- sometimes small things come in big packages, this was that time. I hope the world can appreciate each other a bit more.God bless you with many blessings. April

Dear Mary, A box arrived today Thanks a million! Bob & Linda JACKSON
