my daughter called me a few moments ago and said that she had seen the lady i emailed you about that got kidnapped, and stabbed, the ladys name is tonya, she went to crying and telling my daughter that she had gotten a box in the mail, and told that everything was beautiful, and she didnt think that no one cared about her, and my daughter told her that i belonged to a group on the pc called online angels and that we did things like that for people were down and out and their spirits needing lifted up, she told my daughter to tell everyone thank you very much and God Bless You All, barbara...............ps you may want to share this with the group
Yvonne Burgess called me yesterday after receiving her box. She was crying. Said there is no way she can thank O/A enough for the box. She is still very ill and needs our prayers. Her surgery isn't healing because of infection and she is crippled very bad with arthritis. She asked me what she could do to re-pay us. I told her that's what we are for, is to help others. We get paid by knowing it pleases them. Mary Vance
Much to my joyful surprise today I received a loveghan from OA, along with some little angels and crosses and a bookmark made by a child. Thank you!!! This is just the pick me up that I needed. It brought tears to my eyes...the good kind. The squares in it are just beautiful. It sure is lovely. I never thought I'd see one of these, much less receive one. It will have a place of honor in my livingroom, and I'll curl up with it when I crochet. Thanks again also for the love, friendship, and prayers! Hugs, Sandra in AL

God really knows when someone is really in need of prayers and I am. That's why I haven't been on line much. Dear Mary, I just got a call from my friend Regina and she received the loveghan this morning. I could barely understand her through the tears. She is so grateful and she says it is soooooo beautiful. It has filled her with so much hope because her prognosis is so scary. She was about to leave the house to go to the hospital for preops. She is going on Thursday for ambulatory surgery to put in a port for the chemo. She is all marked up for the radiation. The treatments will start next week. She is so scared. Good afternoon. I talked with my mom a little bit ago and she said that my Aunt Arlene received her loveghan box a few days ago. Mom went to visit her and she had it sitting on the table for Mom to see. Mom said it was the prettiest thing that she saw. She didn't go into details but she said that my Aunt was touched. My Aunt, of course didn't know where it came from just that it came from "Angels". Mom said, "No, that was from Tracy." "No," my Aunt said, "Tracy's in CA and this came from PA." They just laughed as they have a hard time keeping track of where we are living from year to year. Thanks to all who have donated items that may have made it into my Aunt's box. I know it lifted her spirits. She is going to go back to work next week because all she is doing right now is sitting at home crying because Uncle Bob is gone. My mother just called to say her neighbors received the afghan and crosses today and are SO very touched! Dale came over with everything to show my mother. His eyes lit up as he talked about it, and he kept touching the 'ghan and looking at it - he just loves it, and so does his wife, Donna!! My mother says it's amazing; it's beautiful, and the colors and the rooster in the middle are going to fit in perfectly with their decor! Donna called my mother and told her how very happy it's made her! My mother told Dale all about Online Angels, and showed him recent "Totals" I'd printed out for her, and lists of items O/A angels collects and all that the group does. He and Donna are just amazed. And my mother told him we were praying for Donna, and for him. His eyes lit up again, and he was so touched to know this! So I'd like to put in another prayer request for Donna...she has liver and pancreatic cancer. We don't know what's in store for her future, but Online Angels has truly uplifted her with that box today!!!! Love, <}}}>< Diana
Mary, Thank you so much for sending the box to my aunt. I called her Wednesday evening, and she had received it that day. She has advanced colon cancer and is not seeking treatment. No one knows how long she will live. She has lived her life Lutheran and does seem to be a true believer, confident and secure in where she is going, and this is a real comfort to me. Thanks again. Dear Angel Friend.....Just spoke to my daughter Jessie. They received the package you had sent. They were deeply touched......Her hubby (Rich) loved the afghan.
