Dear Mary, Many, many, many thanks for your huge gift box for my foster child, Javier. While I feel blessed to be a part of his life, the world is more blessed to have such generous, caring people like you who reach out to strangers. Thank you so much, Karen
Mary, I want to thank you & the other Online Angels for the lovely comfortghan you sent. It has certainly been a comfort to me. I am enclosing some extra squares to pass along the blessing to others. Thank you for thinking of me during my time of grief. Nancie Droughton
Thank you so much for my surpris care package. It could not have come at a better time. I had just returned from the hospital. It was my 7th abdominal surgery since I was diagnosed with rectal cancer last June. This May 15th stay was different. My tumor was found to be inoperable. It has spread to my sacralbone. I am left without Chems or radiation option & a prognosis of 6-9 months. But enough about me. Thank you & God bless your work. Merome Johnston
Thank you so much you can not know how much I appreciate your loving kindness in our time of need. Again, thank you!! Bobbie Zaldiber
Dear Online Angels, I was so surprised & pleased with all the gifts I received from you. I had just had gall bladder surgery. I could feel that my guardian angel was watching over me during surgery & had recovered quickly. So, I had alot of angels thinking of me. I appreciate your thoughtfulness. May God bless you in your caring for others. Love, Wilma Ingram
I would like to thank all the Online Ladies who crocheted my loveghan & all the beautiful little angels. In this day & age it is so nice that people really care. Thanks again, I have it on my couch & am making use of it. Theresa Rainville
Dear Angels, Thank you so much for the beautiful lap/afghan. Also the ribbon crosses & angels made. Thanks so much for the love in all of you. Irvin is doing well now he fell down a drilling machine & broke a rib but was black & blue from the neck down. He busted a blood clot in his leg it went thru his heart into his lungs & then he passed out. He is 73 years old & was working eveyday alone for years. He was way up 36 feet to fix a cable on a pully. He is lucky to be alive. He uses the laprobe evey day to keep warm while he naps. We have finally retired. Thank you very much you are doing a great deed for people who are in need. Thank you, Florence Heim
Dear Mary & Online Angels, The only way I can thank you all is to say God love you all! The loveghan & all the items in the box I will cherish for the rest of my life! I'm getting better & stronger with each passing day. So many prayers were offered for my behalf. God truly works for us if we believe. Thank you & God bless each & every one of the Online Angels. With God's love, Bob Lundberg
Dear Online Angels, Thanks so much for helping out with our school supplies. We will try very hard to make crosses for other boxes. Thanks again on how much you did! We appreciate it! Yours Truly, Jennifer & Laura Martin
Your kind expression of sympathy & friendship will always remain in our memories. Thank you for your thoughtfulness. The Umberger Daughters
Dear Mrs. Reinhart, On behalf of the Haynes family I should like you to pass on to the Online Angels our heartfelt appreciation not merely for the timely & thoughtful gifts, but also the prayers expressed & conveyed by said gifts. Orion is progressing slowly & still needs the continuing prayers that we are receiving from friends & prayer groups locally & abroad. Thankfully yours, C. E. Haynes
Dear Mary Reinhart, I'm writing to you to thank you for the items you & the Online Angels sent my Dad (Larry Polston) when he was ill. He liked everything. I'm very sorry it took so long to get back to you. Well, thank you again. Love ya, Kallie Polston
To the Online Angels, I would like to thank you all very much for the wonderful things you all sent to me when I was ill. The afghan came in very handy while I was recuperating at home & still adorns my couch. Your gidts helped lift my spirits & get thru another day. You all are trult angels & incredible crafters. Your gifts will be treasured forever. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. God bless, Daniel (Colleen Schmidt's boyfriend)
These past weeks, I have given many thanks to my Heavenly Father, for people like you & your Online Angels. The warmth, love & caring that eminates from that angelic package each day fills an empty place in a life made lonely by illness. Most people know that there are caring people in this world. But, what they don't realize, is the profound emotions of love & caring, not just upon receiving the package, but everyday for the recipient, as they look at or use these gifts of love & caring. This is one of my favorite poems. I hope that you will share it with your other Angels. Heart Gifts It's not the things that can be bought that are life's richest treasure, It's just the little heart gifts that money cannot measure... A cheerful smile, a friendly word, a sympathetic nod Are priceless little treasures from the storehouse of our God...They are the things that can't be bought with silver or with gold, For thoughtfulness & kindness & love are never sold...They are the priceless things in life for which no one can pay, And the giver finds rich recompense in giving them away...Helen Steiner Rice Please know that every time I see, touch & use your heart gifts, I will smile & my thankful heart will send you my deepest love. Sincerely, Nola Rae
Dear Mary & Online Angels, Thanks for the box that you sent, alot of work went into everything. I used the afghan to cover up several times already & hung the angels on the tree. Will take care of the rest soon. Thanks again so much, you are truly a wonderful group. Sincerely, Janet Crosby
Mary, Thank you for your gift of money It was greatly needed & appreciated. Love, Jill Laken, Mallay, & Lex
Mary, Just a note of thanks for my loveghan box for my Mother. (Mary Mountain) She really was touched. I had planned the donation before I got to see the box, but please feel free to use this as you see fit! Lots of love, Sarah
Thank you so much for the laprobe you sent me for me while I was sick. I finally got home last 2 hours after 4 & a half months. I'm sorry I didn't write before this but I didn't do much while in rehab. Again, thank you much. Always, Kathy
Dear Mary & Online Angels, I want to thankall of you for the lovely crocheted laprobe. I will think of all of you everytime I use it. Also, thank you for all the other goodies that were in the box. Thank you again for the wonderful things you do for others. Sending my love & best wishes for a blessed holiday season. Nancy Whitney
Dear Online Angel group, Several months ago I received a loveghan/laprobe & several other love gifts, at the time my husband was terminally ill. We lost him on Thanksgiving Day. The gifts & the love that was in them meant alot to me. It's hard to believe that there are people who care that much. I thank you & love you for the wonderful work you are doing. May God bless you all, Naomi Davis
Dear Online Angels, I recently had the pleasure of learning of your wonderful organization. I am a home health nurse & one of my clients received one of your thoughtful gift boxes, & I have to say it sure brought a smile to her face. I wanted to give you 2 names of people who would benefit greatly from a thoughtful prayer. Let me thank you in advancem, & God Bless you all for touching the hearts of people you don't even know. Michelle Meads
Dear Mary, I want to thank you for the beautiful afghans. I told Rena, this is the first one I have ever had & I'm 70 years old. I felt real good after I looked at everything in the box. I walked down to Rena's the next morning to show her. She lives behind us. She said ir was one of the prettiest one she seen. I really enjoyed the box. I show all to my friends when they come. They can't believe that someone does this kindness fomr their heart with no strings attached. I am sorry I took so long to write & thank you. I told Rena to thank you by the computer & she did but I also wanted to do it by letter. I have been going to 2 eye Dr.s started Christmas eve morning. I put one drop each hour- 1 drop every 2 hours & 3 drops a day of 3 different medicines. I had 68 years of good health-but I am falling to pieces at 70. Also I want to thank you for the angel. She is beautiful I have her next to the one my son gave me for Christmas & I can see her. Thank you for every thing in the box. Rena (daughter) is wonderful, she keeps me going & some, also takes me places as I don't drive yet since Christmas eve 1999. Take care & thank you again, Georgia Bland
Dear Mary, I was pleasantly surprised & happy to receive the package from your Online Angels from FedEx several days ago. The afghan is beautiful to look at in addition to being warm & comfortable to throw over me as I watch TV or read late in these early New England winter afternoons after my chemc sessions of 2 & a half to 3 hours. I have one of the crosses hanging from the rear view mirror in my car. The Ladies did a beautiful job of knitting & crocheting & the colors are gorgeous. It certainly involved a lot of work on their part, & I'm sure that it was definitely a labor of love. I do not know where or how you got my name to send this gift, but it is definitely appreciated. I am 74 years old & retired in Oct. 92. In 93 I had what is called a turp operation on my prostate. Then, in April 94 I was knocked down by a severe pulmonary embolysm with a second one following up in Nov. I am on 12 different meds. In Sept. 99 I had an esophogeal dilation performed due to a narrowing of my throat. This was repeated in August of this year for the 4th time. In Dec. I had a quadruple bypass operation at the heart center of CMC, and in August of his year I had radical surgery for colon cancer, 20 blood transfusions due to the cancer spread & eating away at my innards. I also was treated for a blood clot in my left thigh. You can see where my summer was spent-four hospitilizations between July 3-& Sept. 25 plus 13 days in a nursing home. The Big Guy in the sky must have angels watching over me up there, & each morning when I get out of bed I thank him for another day. I'm not an overly religious person, have been a lifelong Catholic but not a practicing one except on special holy days, but I believe in prayer & never miss going to bed at night without them. Well, this was just supposed to be a thank you note & not an autobiography. Again, please pass along my deepest thanks for the gift & their thoughts of others when they are working on another afghan for someone like me. God bless you all!! Very Sincerely, Charlie Emery
to the Online Angels, I would like to thank you Mary Reinhart & all the angels. You don't know what the package meant to me. I love you all & I will remember you all when I look & use these things. Thank you all again. You are all in my prayers. Love, Blanche M Gaumond Johnston
Dear Mary, Thank you muchly for the box of supplies sent to Mary's Boarding House in St. Louis, MI. My Husband bought it a year ago, changed its name to Common Ground, for the residents are more like us than different. It is a place for indigest people. They are brought there by the police, the Salvation Army, the mental health clinic. or themselves. It houses 18-24 residents. We are in the process of renovating it to normal living conditions. It is not government subsidized, nor financed by grants. My husband borrowed the money to purchase it, & he works after hours & on Saturdays to improve it, along with some of the men who live there. Ray feels that it'll be successful if it breaks even in 20 years. Your gift is definitely appreciated & used wisely. Thankfully, Pat Knapp
This is a late note to thank you & your Ladies for the great gifts you made & sent to me recently. I am a volunteer at the VA Hospital here, as well as the downtown walk in center. So, I was working the day the box came from your group, & what a great surprises. Am sure the counselors there had a wonderful time distributing them later. (even the safety pin flags) Veterans, male, female, old, young receive individual attention at this facility, & what help we can give is appreciated by both the employees & veterans. Sincerely, Arlene PS. I am also a veteran-USN WW II Hospital Corps, & my husband was in the AF-WWII.
Dear Online Angels, It was very exhilarating to receive your box of goodies (if I may call them that) to beef up my faith in humankind. The afghan will be great when I occasionally take a snooze & the remainder of the things & the poems really picked me up. As a person gets older he sometimes feels that nobody cares anymore but you have proved me wrong. Thank you & God bless you all, Joseph P Gaumond
Dear Mary & Online Angels, Thank you so very much for the care package. I think its wonderful to belong to such a fine group of ladies! I'm always making crafts & giving them away, never have been on the receiving end, until now. Again, thank you. Sincerely, Linda Sandoz
Mary Reinhart, On March 10th my son & daughter in law came in on leave from New Orleans. My son is a Marine, stationed there. SInce my three back surgeries, I have never recovered. I've been out of my third surgery about 7 months now. I now have yet another bad disc & will require another surgery someday. I am in constant pain every day & take alot of pain meds. I don't get out anymore unless its a Dr. visit & I will probably never get to see my son & daughter in law's new home. They just moved to New Orleans from Calif. I live alone alot, and sometimes get down. When my son & daughter in law came in on this leave, they came to visit me and they brought with them the most beautiful afghan that I have ever seen. Made from so many kind and giving women. I had tears in my eyes as my daughter in law told me the story of how the afghans are made and who they go to. I love my bright beautiful afghan, it's like the coat with many colors. It reminds me as I lay wrapped up in it, just how wonderful our Lord is. He has touched me through you. It's wonderful to know there are still people who care for those who are sick, alone or whatever the case may be, and for people they don't even know. Thank you for what you are doing and thank you for my beautiful afghan of many colors! Melissa Riehle P.S. Enclosed you will find some squares I made for someone elses afghan of love. Their not perfect, but will surely bring a warm and happy hello to a special someone who may feel, their forgotten. God Bless.
Please pass on our thanks to all. What a lovely gift! The "love-ghan" is wonderful and she wrapped herself up in it immediately... what a great keepsake and demonstration of support and WARMTH!! and all the little enclosures were also so clever... love the hat too! Thanks and warm wishes to all! Sandy
Mary, Was you the one that put the request in for the wonderful afghan and small gifts that went along with it? If so, I want to say thank you very much! My father was so surprised the day that I gave him the afghan, and showed him the little angel that I hung beside my stepmothers picture for him, and he loved the crosses. He couldnt believe that there were so many thoughtful people on the internet. Please give all those Gals love and thanks for me and tell them that the little bit of time that my father had with the gifts he surely enjoyed them and I will be hanging the afghan on my basement wall in the family room along with his picture and the gifts as my little memorial wall of him and my stepmother. Thanks again if this was you, and if not please let me know! Chris

Just found out our friend, Ursula, received her box from OA and was so very, very touched. Mary, she said she is going to send in a donation because she's hoping others will receive as she has and she said she just hasn't the words for how this uplifted her, to think there's people who care enough about others to share without even knowing you. Thank you OA!!! Blessings! Sam
Hey there! Can you do me a favor please and let Online Angels know I received their package today and it is just wonderful????? I had to unsub from alot of my groups because of all the nonsense with my mom, so I am not a member anymore. Thank you and please tell them it is so appreciated! Lora For the Love of Babies, Inc.
Mary from Online Angels, your package with beautiful fleece blankets arrived safely. Thank you so much, they will keep our babies warm and loved. Hugs Marianne Touching Little Lives, Inc.
Dear Mary, Hi there, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the love gahn box my daughter received today. My name is Kimberly and I had no idea my best friend Margaret Creekmore had sent you a letter about me and my daughter and the hardships we have had through the past year. It warms my heart so very much to know there are people who care so very much about others who are complete strangers. May God bless you and keep you always. I have to say that my daughter will be thrilled when she opens it and sees all the homemade items filled with love. She is currently hospitalized and only comes home for short passes. It will be lovely to have her back at home for a few hours so it can feel like home once again. Our home is so quiet and lonely without her there; I expect her to come charging out of no where making a rutkis, but there is always silence. You and all who have contributed to this love gahn package have given me a new source of strength. I know my daughter will love it! Please share this small note of thanks to all who have contributed with gifts and prayers. Thank you once again. With Gods Loving Grace, Kimberly Mathews
Mary, thank you so very much for the box of love that came today. The afghan is so pretty...when I came home from donating 2 units of blood for my surgery, I was really tired. I saw the box, opened it and immediately the afghan and I took a nap in the recliner. I so appreciate all the love and prayers that come with it! Hugs, Shirley
I am writing on behalf of my dad, Robert Jackman who received a package from you yesterday. My good friend, Allene had put him on your list of cancer patients and he wanted me to tell you how grateful he is to know that you are thinking of him. He thanks you for the lapghan and your kindness. Hugs, Peggy
Hi Mary and all Angels. When I went to church today, one of the older ladies (who is like a mom to me), told me that Bill Cunningham (whose wife Barbara passed after having a stroke a few weeks ago) told her about a wonderful box that came the other day. She, of course, acted like she didn't know anything about it and asked what was in it. He continued to tell her about the lovely afghan and other wonderful things enclosed. He told her about the return address and then asked her if she knew who sent it. She said yes, but he stopped her and said that there was no reason to know where it came from specifically, he just wanted that person to know how it uplifted his spirts during his time of loss. I was in tears before services started this morning. It was a wonderful feeling. To be back in church after missing last week due to the flu was a blessing, but when Ms Rheta told me this, my heart was jumping for joy knowing that I had something to do with easing a little of his pain. Thanks AGAIN, Mary, for a job well done! -- Tracy in AZ
I received my loveghan box today Mary Thank you Ladies! It truly means a lot right now. This year has started off really rough for our family...so much death!! we had another funeral Saturday. That makes the 4th relative to die this year; unbelievable! My husband was told last week he has diabetes, he is leaving for Iraq in a month. I am headed for the spinal procedure Thursday...I could go on...I am just thankful to wake up everyday...Thanks God! please keep me and my family uplifted in prayer. Thanks a bunch, Ang

Dear Mary, Thank you for your boxes and caring. We recently opened two boxes from Online Angels. Ann Rubin
Mary, My daughter received her box yesterday. She called me last night. With all that she has going on with her pneumonia and her daughter this box came at a very good time for her. She was so touched and so appreciative and cried. The afghan goes beautifully with her redone house (since the fire in her home). She has just moved back in and the afghan fits perfectly on her sofa. She loves it and said "it is beautiful". Her home is an old schoolhouse that had been redone by someone else. Then she had the fire and they did do some upgrading and remodeling but kept the old country schoolhouse feel. She kept telling the contractors that she wanted to keep the feel of the old schoolhouse and do everything within keeping of that. She said they did a wonderful job. The afghan goes perfectly with it all and she was touched. She says thank you to all who have shown such caring and love. She does not have her computer replaced yet. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for such caring and God's love that this group shows to so many in need. Love to All, Anne
Hi Mary Donna & Mackenzie got the box today. Donna said thank you for the love- ghan blanket. And Mackenzie came HOME today....good news! Lori
Hi! My mother-in-law received her box yesterday and LOVED her blanket (especially loved the patriotic colors!) and all the rest of the goodies that were in there for her! She couldn't stop talking about how wonderful it felt to have something that special sent to her and knows all the love that was put into each item. I was standing there with her when she opened the box and so I got to really understand how much of a difference we make in others lives. Sounds corny, but I'm sure you all understand...you can really feel the love flow out when the box is opened, especially starting with reading that wonderful letter from OA! Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that she got the box and she loves every item!!! :) She was discharged from the hospital yesterday afternoon and transferred to the Rehab Center where she will stay this week. Thank you so much to those who said prayers for her. God has blessed her and she is a lucky lady after having the stroke and heart attack & now doing much better...she is getting stronger every day!! Hugs, ~Jen B.
Mary:) A big Thank you from Lisa!! She just loved it very much and all the good things that you sent along with it. She thought is was so cool and special to receive it. They got all the lump and when she heals or the paper stitches are gone THEN she will be starting the radiation. (for 6 wks) So, pls, continue to pray for her and that she will keep up her positive attitude and trust God's will. Arlene Hermann
Hi... I just wanted to thank you so much for the surprise I received this week... I already am using the afghan, I took it with me to my first oncology visit... it will go with me for every treatment in hopes if it keeping me strong and positive and not so scared. The pins are on my sweater and the crosses are in my purse and a book I take with me, so all is being used to the fullest. This is a wonderful thing you do and I hope when I'm better, I can donate to you, pass it forward so to speak... :) :) Thank you again so very much, you have no idea what this meant to me..... Linda Lanning Mossyrock, WA
Dear Online Angels, I am writing to let you know that I have received two packages from your organization since our last correspondence. One arrived while I was away on vacation (in New Mexico-BEAUTIFUL!) so that delayed my response to you. The other package arrived just today. Thank you once again for thinking of me, my patients and their little unborn babies-to-be. You should see the smiles I see when I hand over your items to them. They are so appreciative. Best wishes for a wonderful Spring and beyond... Sincerely, Bridget Hanson, CTRS University of Chicago Hospitals
